Found these, my first Pennsylvanian Age marine fossils in calcareous shale in a road cut in western Pennsylvania on a recent trip. According to the Fossil Collecting in Pennsylvania guide, the formation is the Ames Limestone. Any help with IDs would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. 1.)

Found this piece in the Mahantango formation of Pennsylvania. I believe the one thing to be a bivalve or brachiopod but I’m not sure. Also, any ideas on the little orange thing? It’s not a Crinoid but I can’t determine what it is.

Clueless, but trying to help my kids figure out what were found.

My kids and I went exploring in the woods and they wanted to dig holes. We found some rocks that looked interesting and we would love to learn about them. Although I do not believe either of these subjects are related to what we found, just in case I will add that some of the civil war was fought here and there was also an Indian school. They were found in clay by a creek.

Hi, I don't have any information on this specimen since I believe the rock that I found it in is foreign to the area I discovered it. Although I think the rock is from somewhere around the Western Pennsylvania/Eastern Ohio area. It is approximately 2.6 cm by 2 cm. Just hoping someone has some idea what it is. Thanks again.

What do I know? This piece is Pennsylvanian and probably from Brush Creek Limestone. It was found near marine fossils. I have no idea what it is. All help is appreciated.

I was searching around a local stream when I found some limestone with dozens of crinoid stems. I can't say what the formation is as I think they rolled down a hillside which had foreign limestone blocks to prevent erosion. If they are native, they would be Pennsylvanian Glenshaw Formation. Each of them has stellate lumens and many have a pinkish hue. Can anyone tell me what variety of crinoid and is it possible to discern the period? Thanks.

I found these in Washington County Maryland (live in Central PA) while staying at an Airbnb. They were lying in and around a small creek. I've never seen anything like these before. I kept thinking they were peices of wood but was surprised to find them to be rocks when I picked them up. I also found this large peice of quartz? I have no idea so what do you all think?

Went to a site in central PA today and collected some Llewelyn formation ferns and other Carboniferous plants. Second opinions on the following are appreciated! 1, I thought this is an Alethopteris but the leaves look like they can also be some immature Neuropteris with compound leaves with the leaves pressed together. 2. Is this Sigillaria bark? 3. Wasn’t sure if this is Lepidodendron bark. These crosshatched stem-looking prints are quite common at the site 4. is this a Calamite print? 5. I am fairly certain this is Neuropteris but just would like to be sure. That’s all. All and any help is appreciated! Thanks in advance and let me know if scale is needed.

I live in jersey near Philadelphia and I was hoping to find eurypterid fossils but the only stop I can find is Lang’s quarry which is over 5 hours away and cost a ton to hunt. I am wonder if anyone has found evidence of eurypterids in Pennsylvania , Maryland, or southern New York. If you have any pictures I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks, Noel.
