Hello! My son received this as a gift from his grandfather years ago, and we were told this is a raptor egg. However thats all we were told... And my son and I are wondering if it is in fact a raptor egg and would love to know as much as possible about it. I took a lot of photographs and even through a macro lens. There are lines all over it which I thought were embryo veins...but now I think they might be cracks in what used to be a shell? under the macro lens you can see what I think might be calcite formations in the cracks and possibly crystalized throughout the inside as one of the nodules looks like glassy calcite up close. I would love to get your opinion on this piece, age, quality, type, etc. This is a prize piece in my sons collection and we would really appreciate any information from the experts Thank you!!

Hello to everyone, I found an interesting pattern cleaning an unidentified bone and would love to hear your opinion. This bone arrived covered in soft sandstone, according to the seller it came from Taouz, Errachidia Province, South Morocco. I identified it as a sauropod, probably diplodocoid but i'm only an amateur so I will love to hear what you think. after I cleaned the surface with a rotating brush it revealed multiple bite marks in varies size and depth. From what I red and saw online, I figured that these are raptor bite marks. Do you agree? Does it rare to find so many bite marks on one bone? Thanks a lot!

A small claw ( roughly 14,8mm big ) i found in the hell creek formation in South Dakota, the first two pictures show both lateral sides of the claw and the last picture shows the ventral side of the claw. I hope that any of you might have an idea of what species this claw is from. regards!

Hello all! I recently saw this labelled as « raptor claw bones, claw and teeth » They are from Hell Creek. I highly doubt that all this is from a raptor and I think that it is maybe a composite. I think the fat tooth is from Morocco. Don’t know about the other one... Here are some pictures, please tell me more. The seller claims everything has been found together except the teeth. Thank you!

I have 6 teeth I’d like to ID here. I think #1 might be a Pectinodon Anterior Dentary tooth but not sure. They were found mostly in the Hell Creek near Jordan, Mt. but some were from the Judith River Formation. The guy who found them just put them all together so I don’t have exact geology unfortunately. I can’t get any closer to these tiny teeth to get pics of the denticles. I know that might be helpful in identification. This is my first ID post so take it easy on me if I didn’t do it right If anyone needs additional photos of any of the teeth from another angle or isolated, I can do that. Thanks for looking.

Hello everyone! I’m excited to have finally joined the forum. I look forward to learning from you all and hopefully sharing some of my knowledge as well. I figured I’d share a photo of the stack of Cretaceous fossils I’m currently sorting. Those tackle boxes are full of assorted teeth, toe bones, ankylosaurid/nodosaurid material and turtle/croc bones. I’ve got hours of fun ahead

Hello, @Darko has been lately posting some Paleo art of prehistoric creatures that were absolutely stunning, so I felt like giving it a try. Today I drew a picture of what is to me one of the most interesting Raptors to ever exist. A species of raptor with the nickname "murder swan", was discovered in Mongolia. This raptor was one of the few semi aquatic theropods, it had the body of a raptor, the legs of a crane, the claws of a raptor and the head of a swan. This drawing is dedicated to @DatFossilBoy and @Darko. I hope you guys like it. Regards.

Any idea what these raptor teeth are, or if they're even are raptor teeth? Allegedly there from Lance formation, Wyoming. Definitely not in the best condition, but hey, any fossil is a good fossil.
