    Unlabelled spinosaurid tooth

I found this unlabelled tooth I believe to be a spinosaurid. I only have one photo. I am deciding whether to buy it or not.
  2. Hello, I saw this Spinosaurus jaw for sale today and wondered If its real or fake. It appears to be glued or a bit reconstructed and not very well preserved, but also looks a bit off to me (texture, shape) One small tooth is still in place, and suprisingly, it looks more genuine. But lets hear what you think about it. It was found in the Kemkem beds, morocco.

    Spinosaurus bone

Hello, i saw this Spinosaurus bone for sale today and wondered which bone it is, if its still identifyable. It kinda reminds me of a big vertebra fragment tho. It was found in the Kemkem beds, morocco. @Phos_01, because i know you as one of the Spino experts, migth you know the correct bone position and name ?
  4. Brevicolis

    Unidentified jaw from morocco

Hello, i saw this unidentified reptile jaw from morocco for sale today. Does anyone know to what it once belonged ? The tooth socket is oval and the jaw seems to have had a little lip which now had erodet away. So Spinosaurus maybe ?
  5. Hello, i saw this fully rooted Spinosaurus tooth for sale today. The root seems kinda original, but there are some suspicious areas in it. But they do not cover completly around the tooth. Maybe some bad crack filling was done, what happend also visible on this tooth ? Let me know what you think about it !
  6. Brevicolis

    Spinosaurus premaxillary tooth ?

Hello, i saw this weird Spino tooth for sale today, and started wondering, If thats a premax tooth, if Spino had any... Is it one, or how rare is it ? Sice : around 4 cm Found in : Kemkem beds, morocco
  7. Hello, i have this toe bone labeled as spinosaurus in my collection. But it seems kinda suspicious to me. Theres definitly real bone that matches the form, but some areas look like plaster or still covered whith a layer of matrix. Is it real and bad preserverd, 50/50, or a complete fake ? And is it even Spinosaurus ? Because Spinosaurus toe bones are very flat compared to this one.
  8. Hello, i saw this big Spinosaurus tooth on auction today and wondered, If the root is real and not a composed one. Obviously, a crack was filled, but thats OK for me, and everything else looks fine to me. The tooth Matches also whith the rooted one, seen in Troodon's guide. So would it be worth trying to get it, or should i stay far away from it ? Found in : Kemkem beds, morocco Sice : 12 cm
  9. Brevicolis

    Spino or Croc tooth ?

Hello, i have this tooth labeled as Elosuchus from morocco. But i am not sure if its really one, could this be Spinosaurus too ? It has clear visible stirrations, but no carina. The cross section is circular. The tip has also an interesting shape, could this be the result of permanent use ? It was found in the Kemkem beds, morocco.
  10. I can't believe the quality of this tooth. Apart from the missing tip it almost seems perfect. Do you see any Red Flags here?
  11. Hello, i saw this Spinosaurus jaw on auction today. The tooth seems real, but the jaw looks like it would come straight up out of the mold, where the Sand was placed in. Found in Kemkem beds, morocco Sorry for the random floating fingers, i still dont know why sellers use their hand for measurement.
  12. Hello, i saw this big Spinosaurus tooth (14cm) on auction today, and it looks very good to me. But the root is a bit suspicious. It doesnt match with the colors and texture of the real tooth. Was a fake root formed to gain more centimeters to make it more valuebale ? It was found in the Kemkem beds of morocco.
  13. Some of the nicer fossils from Morocco that I own. Let's start! - Set of nice spinosaurus teeth. Found in the same tunnel and layer. Only some meters away from eachother. 11 and 10.8 centimeter KemKem group, Morocco - Hainosaurus Boubker jaw pieces (dentary + snout) associated from an adult specimen. Really rare. Sidi Chennane, Oued Zem Morocco - Huge 10.6 centimeter carcharodontosaur crown with neat orane/brown like colors. KemKem group, Morocco - Set of 35 associated Otodus Obliquus teeth. Biggest one measures 8CM. Took a while to find one. El Khourigba, Morocco
  14. Hi, I´m an artist and designer of "dinosaur and fossil based sculptures". I have a customer from Seattle who would like to buy a sculpture from me with real Spinosaurus teeth. I buy the teeth from a shop in Spain. Is there a problem to send fossils into the US? Thanks! Timo
  15. Hello, i saw this Spinosaurus tooth for sale today and it looks really good to me. But theres something weird about it. It looks like If a crack was filled in the top, but just from one side. Is that something to worry about ?
  16. Hello, I saw this Spinosaurus claw for sale today and it looked "okay" to me . Clean , no matrix , good shape . But the photos are a bit weird : no near photos, photos just from two sides (maybe to hide restorations) . Whats your opinion on it ? It was found in the Kemkem beds, morocco.
  17. Hello to everybody! I'm kinda new here, but before I start I must say I really love this forum! It has really great vibes and you instantly can tell that this is a good and friendly community! So, I am ziggycardon, I live in Belgium, close to the border of the Netherlands and when we start speaking geologically, I live on the same cretaceous sediments as where the first major Mosasaurus discoveries where done! Unfortunatly I have never been on a fossil hunt myself and everything currently in my collection was bought or given to me. But I hope to change that soon, as I am dying to go hunting myself. Maybe the Chalk sediments 3 km from my home would be a good place to start! For the rest, my job, my major hobby and my other main interest besides fossils are living animals. I currently work as the head of terrarium & aquarium in 3 different pet stores and I have quite a collection of reptiles, amphibians, invertebrates and tropic fish myself. In my spare time I often take my own living animals along with my fossils and other educational natural history material to schools so I can teach kids about nature and it's history and hidden mechanics. For the rest are my other hobbies mainly based around movies and televisions as I collect a lot of stuff drom my favorite franchises like "Lord or the Rings" & "The Hobbit", "Game of Thrones, "Pirates of the Caribbean", ... And I also attent a lot of comic cons and other events related to those franchises. But then this topic! In this topic I will show my collection of fossils (and also minerals, stones and meteorites) as it is right now and then I will highlight each group of fossils bit by bit. I am currently starting with a own specialized fossil room, so ofcourse the progress and end result will also be posted here! And ofcourse when something get's added to my collection, I'll show it here as well. Sometimes a photo of my "special" pets or taxidermy specimens might pop up, but this topic will mainly be about the fossil room and my fossil collection. For the rest, if you have any comments or questions about the collection or about me or about anything, feel free to ask! I'd love to reply!
  18. I saw this "Spinosaurus jaw" for sale . Its really small , 4-4 cm with two miniature teeth . But it doesnt looks like Spinosaurus to me , more like a Crocodile jaw from Elosuchus or something . Whats your opinion about this ?

    Huge spinosaurus jaw?

Hello! I see for sale this huge jaw (50cm) with some teeth. It’s from Kem Kem. What do you think? Any idea for The correct price? Thank you!
  20. I saw this Spinosaurus toe for sale today and wondered how much of it is reconstructed. It was found in the Kemkem formation , morocco From the cretaceous period .

    Spinosaurus jaw section?

This is being sold as a Spinosaurus jaw section, but I suspect it's Crocodile or maybe even Mosasaurus. Any suggestions on ID? KemKem basin, Tegana fm, Red Sandstone Beds. Taouz, South Marocco 24cm / 9.45"
  22. Hello , I saw this Spinosaurus jaw for sale today and wanted to know If thats a real one or a fake one (because there are so many fake ones on the Internet) . It looks real and fake at the same time to me , real because of that magnificant lip which many fake ones dont have , and fake because of the weird looking toothsockets and the man made looking demolition edge . What do you think ? Edit : I Just saw that one other member of the Forum posted about the same jaw a couple hours ago 😅
  23. Good Evening Everyone, After reviewing the two topics I saw on spinosaurus claws I still find myself questioning my own identification of these two spinosaurus claws. I was wondering if any of you more experienced forum goers could give these a look and help me verify if they are real? Thank you for any support
