  2. For trade! Shark teeth from Slovenia-miocene. My interest miocene fossils-echinoids,pectens, interesting bivalves, gastropods, also posible to exchange for one nice ammonite, sharh teeth,.....
  3. Well, Shark Week has come early this year! I'm starting to photograph my collection for more "safekeeping" while I'm away, so I figured posting them here would be a good thing to do. Now, I can't really tell any species from another, so I don't really have any ids for any of these guys, but I know many members here would know, so I don't mind if some of you all id them (or correct the ones I do give) . These first ones are from Aurora, North Carolina, and come from the Miocene epoch. I think there's some hemis and tiger shark teeth in these, as well as "requiem sharks" (?).
  4. These are two composited Spinosaurus teeth I found at a convention. Feel Free to post what you found or have.
  5. I would like to make a topic about your dinosaur Teeth and Bone Collections. So that we can talk and learn about them. Feel free to post your dinosaur material!
  6. I saw this at a Fossil convention in Vienna it was priced around 230 euros that's about 250$. Is it real?
  7. I bought this jaw at a fossil show and the only info that came with it was "Badlands USA". The matrix looks Miocene Arikaree to me and not Oligocene but I'm not sure of course. Any information from a mammal/tooth collector will be appreciated. I have an idea of what it might be but I don't want to say anything until I hear from you all. Thanks, Mikey

    My dino teeth collection

Here’s my small dino teeth collection. Looking to expand it this year. Some of the Moroccan cards need updating.
  9. Can you please help me I’d these teeth. The one on the left is suppose to be Cretoxyrhina denticulata from the Tambov region of Russia. Can anyone confirm this or i.d. It differently. I know the one on the right is a Cretolamna from Morocco but if someone could help me I.d. It further that would be great. Thanks
  10. Hello everyone! His is my first post on here. My name is Hayley and I’m located in Daytona Beach, Florida. The past two weekends, we made trips to Brownville and Wauchula Florida to hunt the Peace River. On the 18, we found a small meg tooth on the last scoop of the day, along with lots of other teeth and bone fragments. On yesterday’s trip, I found some larger teeth and a completely in-tact (what looked to be a sand dollar) at the last place we stopped at. I will post a picture of it tomorrow because it’s sittig on my desk at work. Anyway, it’s really enjoyable and the conditions are very favorable right now. We have set up a trip to visit again next weekend, and are looking for some fellow hunters who are interested in tagging along. I really want to get on some big meg teeth, and have been scouting out a few decent and promising locations. We have a kayak that we use to get up and down the river. Is anyone interested in meeting up next weekend to hunt?
  11. Have some or all of these teeth been added in?

    Megalodon Teeth

I bought these from my friend who got these from an auction years ago. He didnt know much about them. Can anybody tell me where these are most likely from due to the colours? Also if you see any obvious signs of repair you could let me know.

    Jaw bones with teeth.

When i was in Quartzite I searched high and low for any real stuff from Morocco. This is the only real jaw i found and the guy didnt have a clue to what it was. Im guessing some kind of crock? Does anyone maybe know what this is? RB
  14. I had posted these on my collection gallery - and one or 2 people thought perhaps these were NOT rebbachisaurus teeth; rather Spinosaurus. I would like to classify them properly - SO.... looking for opinions! I want to know if corrections are needed. (And I am NOW looking for a GOOD rebbachisaurus tooth online). The dealer I got this from is not a "dealer" in fossils as far as I can tell.... but I will avoid him in the future, I think!
  15. Hey guys, I have the option of getting one of these 2 rooted Spinosaurus teeth, but unsure which one to go with... One is over 6", the other over 4.75"... I like the look of the shorter one better and it matches my other Spino teeth nicely, but is the big one a really nice specimen??? Opinions??

    ID Request - Teeth

ID Request - Anyone know what these fossilized teeth might belong to? It measures 19 x 9 x 9 mm. I believe it’s one premolar and two molars from a herbivorous mammal (pre last glacial period?). I found it inside the chalk cliffs of Ven island, in the Øresund strait between Sweden and Denmark.

    Spinosaur/Plesiosaur

Hi everyone, I am new to the fossil forum. These were called Plesiosaurus (light), and Spinosaurus. I need help properly ID ing them. The Spinosaurus is not serrated, if I remember, found in Africa, also, what is the pink crystals and dark sand-like covering around the specimen? As for the Plesiosaurus, Phosphate Beds, Morocco ; upper Cretaceous..

My 3x Hell Creek Crocodile Teeth...

Hey guys, first real post/question... I have a very small and modest collection, and the only thing that I have not truly been able to identify are my 3 Hell Creek Crocodilian Teeth... I know from investigation that there are 3 basic types of Crocodilia found in the formations there... Thoracosaurus neocesariensis - gavialoid crocodile Borealosuchus sternbergii - crocodile Brachychampsa montana - alligatoroid crocodile My teeth are definitely from the same species... I'm not sure if they are from mature of juvenile however... Judging by research I've done, I doubt they are Brachychampsa... I also don't think they have the correct look for Borealosuchus.... Are they Thoracosaurus??? Or is it some unknown Leidyosuchus? Any help would be well received.... Thanks!

    Various Raptor Teeth?

Any idea what these raptor teeth are, or if they're even are raptor teeth? Allegedly there from Lance formation, Wyoming. Definitely not in the best condition, but hey, any fossil is a good fossil.

    Jaw Fossil

Hi everyone, I'm not very involved with fossil collecting (more into sport cards as the name implies), but I bought this jaw fossil a while back and would like to request some identification help. Thanks guys!

    Are these human teeth?

Are either of these possibly human molars? If so, would they be recent, Native American, or perhaps older? If not, what do you think they are? They were found on the Potomac river, in Purse State Park, in southern MD on separate trips about a year apart.

    Hilarious Shark Teeth Finds

Funny story - I posted about our trip to Venice and what we found. Well after spending 4 mornings on the beaches searching and sifting and coming up with only tiny teeth and not much else, I was packing the car to head back home this morning and behold; three beautiful teeth just hanging out on top of the gravel in the driveway. Guess I know where I should have been searching this whole time!
