Hi Guys and Girls. Going through some of my old teeth on the weekend and found the one below. Any ideas on what it is? Doesn't look like any shark tooth i have ever found from my usual sites. Thinking possibly fish? It is around 13mm long. Out of the thousands i have found over the years none are like this. Unfortunately, i am unsure of exactly where i got it, but would have been either the Rocks at Ramsholt (London Clay and Red Crag) or Bawdsey (London Clay and Red Crag) as these were the only two places i used to collect from. Have also included what i think is a Cosmopolitodus hastalis/ Carcharodon hastalis that i found a few months back at Bawdsey. If Mods want to edit photos to make brighter etc please do!! Thanks!!!!

I've been looking for Moroccan pterosaur teeth, and have found this one from the Kem Kem beds for sale. I know there's fish teeth being sold as pterosaur teeth so I wanted to ask if anyone out there could confirm whether this is from a pterosaur? Thanks!

I have found this thing in a campanian marine phosphate deposit. It came along with fish and shark teeth. It looks like some kind of tooth, but I have no idea. The brown area is translucent and looks like enamel. Although the grey is thicker and sharp. Any experts on cretaceous fish would be welcome Ps. This is definately not just a rock, I am fairly familiar with this deposit and can judge a rock from a fossil. Could anybody I'd this please?

I stumbled upon this neat crocodile tooth from the Kem Kem Beds, and I was wondering if there's any possibility of labeling it beyond crocodyliform? Any help would be appreciated!

Good day all! Spent a couple hours down at the beach (Milnerton,Cape Town) yesterday - unfortunately it was a bit of a quite day. Only came across one tooth and some interesting bones I wasn’t able to identify.

We had a trip to the Holderness.WeI usually only collect Ammonites and the odd bit of bone. The Holderness coast has lots of different corals that come from the boulder clay and if our bag is empty we may take a bit of coral for the garden Anyhow... I found this, at 1st I though tooth, then thought horn coral and discarded it, walked away a few paces, turned round walked back and picked it up again! Though maybe its a tooth, maybe its a coral.... LOL this has gone on for days!!! So over to the experts. I have only ever found teeth as part of a ichthyosaur Jaw, so actually have no idea what a single tooth should look like.

Not sure if this is a mineral sample or a worn down tooth of some type. It was found on 1-3-2018. Height 5cm, length and width 4 1/2 cm. Definitely grooves on the top with brown color running top to bottom between the grooves. Has similar indentations on the top to a tooth. Very worn along the sides and bottom. Found on Onslow beach in North Carolina.

I found this in northeastern Mexico about 5 hours south of the border. It’s a bit more than 3 inches long, rounded on one side and bladed on the other like a saber. Please help ID. Thanks!

Hello everyone,here is another piece I could use someone's expertise on also found in Missouri,the cigarette is for perspective to give an idea of its size,it measures, 4 1/2"x 2"x 2 3/4",(LxWxH) ,it's color ranges from shades of gray to off white,and it has what I would call ridges or bands,it is extremely hard and I am unable to scratch it with a stainless knife,it resembles a large tooth to me,but I am new to this and it is possible it is just a rock,any input is welcome as I am here to learn,thanking everyone in advance. gmanp135

Hello fossil friends! I am very new to this world, my son and I started looking for geodes a few months ago and that has expanded into an amazing hobby, and a house full of rocks lol. I'm very intrigued with fossils/ bones but I don't know how to identify what we find! I'm pretty positive this is a tooth? Found in southwest Michigan, thanks in advance for any help!

Small, Medium, and Large...Rodent Teeth? Post Oak Creek, TX

Found these little fragments when looking around in Post Oak Creek near Sherman, Texas. To me they resemble rodent teeth, and I've certainly found non-fossilized ones out there, but these are definitely fossilized. Any idea what they could be? Largest fragment is 16mm long and 4mm wide. Close up shot is the wider end of the fragment, which shows a really cool cross section of the piece.

I found these mystery jawbone fragments in Post Oak Creek near Sherman, Texas. I was wondering if I anyone could help me identify them. If closer shots of the teeth would help, or you need another angle don't hesitate to ask! edit: longer fragment is about 8mm long I'm used to only finding unidentifiable bone fragments out there so these were a neat little surprise! (in fact i only picked up one knowingly, the other I must have thought was a tooth when I picked it up. I only noticed it after coming home to rinse stuff off haha)

Broken Spinosaurus Tooth - How can I repair it?

Hi everyone, unfortunately today the tip of my spinosaurus tooth has broken off - its just under 7" and about 1-2" have broken off. I've read on here that paleobond is a really great adhesive to fix this however, being from the UK I've had a look and they don't ship to where I live - I have emailed if they are able to change this waiting on a reply. I was just wondering if anyone knows in the UK if there is anywhere I can go or a similar type of adhesive that will work just as well? Thank you in advance for any replies -

Hello, I show you two small fossils (less than 1CM) found in Southern France, in a river bed dated from late Cretaceous, where dino, turtle and croc bones were found. One is a tooth for sure, a kind of croc ? I never saw such shape before. The other one is maybe a fish scale ? a tooth ? thank you for your help as always !

While looking for washed up shark teeth on the beach I stumbled upon this unusual tooth. I had no idea what it was from, so I googled around and nothing came up. It isn't very large. The object measures in at about 1 inch. It has very small serrations that run along it. It was found in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.

I’m just an outdoorsman that picks up things when I think they’re neat or different looking. That being said, I found this thing several years ago, wondered over it a while, and then stuck it in a box. Saw it again tonight and got to doing a little research on what it might be and the closest match I came up with was a dinosaur tooth. So I’m asking if that is indeed what it is, or if it’s just a very toothy looking rock of some sort? Either way, I think it’s pretty interesting and would appreciate any best guesses or insight as to what it is. I found it in a wash, maybe 10-15 feet below the surrounding terrain. As best I can remember it was just laying there with some other rocks, a shard of native pottery, and some rusty thing I never identified. This is in upstate South Carolina, Abbeville County, USA. If any further info would help I would be glad to provide it. Just not sure what is needed, even after reading several of the “before you post” threads. But here goes...

Hi, My kiddos father picked this up at a flea market and was told by seller it was a megalodon tooth. He gave it to our son for Christmas. It doesn't look at all like a megalodon tooth to me. I had to manage my son's expectations when he opened it and let him know that it probably not be a megalodon tooth, but it's still really cool. I promised him I would try and find out what it is. My son is two weeks away from being 6, he has Asperger's and is absolutely obsessed with sharks. It's all he talks about. Would someone please identify this for me?
