Where to donate fossils in DFW?
TylerD posted a topic in Partners in Paleontology - Member Contributions to Science
Are there any recommendations on where I can donate large quantities of common fossils in the DFW area of Texas? I mostly have ammonites and echinoids and, while they're quite common, I don't want them to all go to waste. The Fort Worth Zoo has a new "Texas Nature Traders" that acts as a museum where trade in nature items, such as fossils, from Texas in exchange for other items traded in. The only problem is that they limit to 4 items, with a collection of 5 similar items counting as 1 item. I'll contact my old elementary teacher and see if she, or any other teachers there, would like any for their classrooms. Any other suggestions would be wonderful.- 2 replies

Amonites around my mail box. -
Found recently this specimen in the wider Epidaurus region Greece . The matrix rock as well the as the ammonite is green silicified limestone with jasper pigments or enlosures in some parts . Considered geologically Upper Anisian - Carnian . Morphologically is close to Nevadites but not for sure as I am no expert in identification . Any help to ID welcome

Hey y'all Exciting find for me today. Decided It was about time to investigate the Eagle Ford formation for once, and it certainly paid off! This was not my target, but a thrill nonetheless. Is anyone able to lend an ID? It's quite weather worn, and I don't have exact measurements yet, but the pictures might have enough context
