In 2019, @Plax and I explored some exposures of the Castle Hayne Formation near Wilmington, NC. At one site I found a peculiar fossil coral. I am familiar with the typical Eocene solitary corals such as Flabellum and Endopachys, however this one has me stumped as I cannot identify it to Genus with any of my SE USA Eocene references. I am hoping one of the NC invert collectors out there might recognize it. Size is ~32mm. Thanks Mike

Found this while digging in my backyard in Southern California. More specifically, Cerritos, which is just a few miles north east of Long Beach. I uncovered a whole layer of interesting rocks, a huge chunk of breccia, shale, sandstone, and even a ~2 in. long quartz, but this one actually looks like a coral to me. I can add close ups if necessary.

This is a new one for me. A neat little button-like horn coral: Dipterophyllum glans from the Middle Mississippian Burlington Fm. of Iowa. Didn't know which forum to share this, so I thought I'd drop it off here for posterity (scale in mm)

Thanks to @minnbuckeye who gave me a site suggestion to an Iowa Devonian locality when I was on my way to the White River Formation of Nebraska, I was able to satisfy my palaeozoic fix this past June. Here are my finds (scale in photos is cm/mm): Orthospirifer cf. O. cooperi Strophodonta sp. Cranaena sp.

Unfortunately I’ve no additional information for this unknown fossil only to say it’s from the UK. Due to the white almost chalky matrix it may be from the Upper Chalk, and looks quite similar to a Parasmilia coral from my research so far. Any help would be appreciated please. Good afternoon, My name is Rick, and last summer I purchased a big box of fossils. I got the box mainly for the ammonites that where in there. The box containted about 50 fossils. I was wondering if you could help me with the names of the following fossils. I know some of them are crinoidea and brachiopoda, but I don't know which crinoidea or brachiopoda they are. I hope you can help me out! This a the link for an online album, containing every unknown fossil (11) Album Kind regards, Rick
