I recently got these antique lithographs that were made in about 1910, that are from a rare set of trading cards about dinosaurs, prehistoric and strange animals by Heinrich Harder. On the back is information about the animal by naturalist William Bölsche. (I don’t speak German so I have no clue what they say) I absolutely love the artwork and plan to get a couple more. I thought you all would find them interesting as well!

I don't see a thread dedicated to old furniture so I thought I would start one. I really love nice antiques and I would love to see what the TFF has in their homes for classic furniture. This weekend, my wife picked up this great roll top desk at an antique show. I had to fabricate a couple drawer rails that were missing but overall, the desk is in amazing condition. It is made of quarter-sawn oak.

Dear forummembers, In my collection are two old Krantz Squalicorax pristodontus fossils, and with their old labels and old box they sure look quite interesting. I was wondering who else has old fossils from Krantz, maybe it would be nice to see other old Krantz fossils in their original boxes and with their old labels. There is also a catch to this however. The one on the right mentions it is from Ciply and is No.50, but there is no number to be found and the matrix tells us it is acutally from the Nekum Mbr of the Aachen-Maastricht-Liège area, and not the Mons basin. So my hopes are to find tooth No.50 from Ciply and swap the labels. Or to see from which locations Krantz sold fossils from the Aachen-Maastricht-Liège area in order to estimate where my piece might have been found. But apart from that, this topic is open to all ex-Krantz fossils, and I am curious to what will be shown here in the future. Kind regards, Sander

I don't know that this fits exactly because these are not my works of course... but I love old paleo art. Click on the thumbnails for the full image. I had the first one printed as a wall canvas and it came out beautifully. Do you have any to share? I always want to add to my collection.

Took a trip to a nearby mineral and gem shop that sometimes had fossils. To my delight, the shop owner showed me a sword made up of fossil bones. It's unclear what bones were used but the shop owner said it was probably mammalian, perhaps mammoth or something from the ice age. The sword was actually pretty durable and could be used as a weapon (at risk of breaking the fossils of course). Certainly the strangest fossil I've seen this year!
