The area from Dallas Fort Worth airport to Arlington, TX seems to be littered small shiny black stones. Some tempt a garfish scale identification while others like these suggest teeth. Somehow I doubt both. I would be interest in finding out for sure what they are though. Thankyou in advance.

Every so often I go kick around at the old AAS, it was on my sight seeing list for Rockwood and we stopped by other day. Finding anything white there is rare, I can't remember any of the fossils from there being white and all the wood there is black. This looks like bone if left with no other choice, but I'm sure I'll be given some

Hi everyone! My husband Kase and I have recently gotten into Fossil Hunting. I guess it is one of those "once you start, you can`t stop" things. Our kiddos (2 boys ages 5 and 2) love coming to some of the places too. Like the Mineral Wells Fossil Park. If there is anyone in Arlington that would like to meet up and go hunt together, let us know. We were thinking about heading out to Ladonia (without the kiddos of course.) We started a Tumble site with some of the things we have found just around Arlington. We are looking foward to being a part of the forum. *Cheers! -Kase and Amanda-

Hi everyone, We found this at the Arlington Village Creek Park. The water is getting low and has exposed some of the creek bottom. We have found shells, an urchin and some Native American tools out there as well. *If you go out there, be aware that there are plenty of snakes! We purchased the book "A field guide to Fossils of Texas" and think the teeth could possibly be Coniasaurus (marine lizard). The teeth are not dark brown or black, does this mean it is not a fossil? There seems to be a set of main teeth, with a set of replacement teeth underneath. This is very small, as you can see the photo is taken in my hand. They are about dime size. Could they be from a fish? We noticed the Coniasaurus teeth were very small as well. We look forward to any information you can give to help out. Thank you!

Is this something oober cool (yes, I used the word "oober") or is this just a funky rock? I see a fish head. I will name him fred for now. Found: Arlington Texas, Village Creek Woodbine I think. This photograph was taken with my phone. I am about to go out and take some with my good camera if you all need more images, let me know. Thank you!
