Sorry for the industrial approach, here are the ones I haven’t been able to id on my own. All are from St John’s County in NE Florida, beach finds from the offshore deposit of ice age fossils. Thanks for any assistance you can give a fellow fossil collector!

Please excuse the quality of the pics, they were taken with my iPad. These two were found in a shell wash on Manasota Beach, Englewood Fl. One looks like a limb bone, and the second one maybe a partial periotic bone? Thanks in advance.

Hi to all the NC forum members! My wife and I will be staying @ Carolina Beach, NC from 12/8 to 12/15. First time ever in that area. Would love to find some fossils either on the beaches or nearby sites. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Currently we are at NMB, SC finding a variety of fossils on the beach here. Any help with an I.D. of the object in the pics will be greatly appreciated. Was collected in the surf in Cape Town, South Africa, where I often pick up fossilized shark teeth, horse teeth, bone fragments, earbones, etc. Have not found any similar object before. Thanks.

Apologies since this is modern versus fossil. But was my first ever experience with ray cartilage and I am excited. The vertebrae were found in different locations as were the 2 snouts I found. I also came across a ray's carcass that was intact but beginning to deteriorate. It's snout was skin covered but appeared to be the same. The vertebrae also looked identical to the ones I found. It was humped up I guess because of the drying and shrinkage of the skeleton. It had claspers so it was a male. About a foot and a half body with a long tail. This November there were 2 days on the beach when I found over 336 various sizes of gastropods covered with at least 2 different types of bryozoa. I have found similar gastropods covered with coral from the Pliocene in Florida. These fascinate me (hardly of any interest to others on the beach whose focus is shark teeth) because they have a story: the gastropod dies; a hermit crab occupies the dead shell; bryozoa attaches itself to the shell and begins to cover it. Here are two of the items in my recent batch of beach finds that I am not sure of. The first I thought might be shell, but the texture on the underside is curious... And the second which I was hoping was alligator. Thanks for looking.

My husband and I spent the month of March in Santa Cruz, California where our daughter lives. We were happy to leave NY state weather behind and see what it is like to be in a place where the sun shines. It was great! I brought home a few beach finds and was wondering what they might be. They are very different than my home turf Devonian finds. The first group picture I was guessing might be from crabs. The largest center one is 3 inches.
