Hi all, any help with these two fragments is greatly appreciated! Both were found on ocean-facing barrier island beaches. The smaller object in Pic 1 was found in Beaufort Co., SC. I picked it up in a small handful of shell fragments and was about to toss it down when I noticed the symmetry and pattern; I'm not even sure where to start with an ID though. It measures approx. 1.5 x 1.7 cm; approx. 0.5 cm tall at the highest "bump". The bone fragment in Pic 2 was found in New Hanover Co., NC. My first thought was turtle bone, possibly a piece of a pelvic girdle? It measures approx. 5 x 3.5 cm, 1.75 cm thick on thickest side and 0.5 cm thick on the thinner, flatter side. Any insight into what may have caused the scratches(?) on the one side is also appreciated. Thank you in advance! Pic 1: Pic 2:

Can anyone help me with identification of this item? I found it washed up on Pensacola beach. I love the beautiful pattern on it. It almost has the look and feel of wood yet I'm in certain of what it is. Thanks so much Jenni

I was curious what this might be. I am under the assumption it’s some marine mammal. However I’ve found nothing remotely similar as far as dolphins go, so your guess is as good as mine

Hi, I found this (what I believe to be) fossil in the st croix river at Prescott beach in the swimming area. It was in a relatively shallow area probably only 2 feet deep but buried under a small layer of soot. It’s about 3cm long and has a jaw like structure, although it appears to be dislocated since the other side doesn’t show as many “teeth”, and the the teeth shown in the photo are out slightly from under the top. There is also a row on the top jaw with the same shape of protrusions which is what leads me to believe it’s some sort of jaw. The supposed teeth also have markings on them that are triangular in a somewhat consistent pattern. Any and all help is appreciated. Thanks, Minnesota Man
