Hi Folks, Found this on a beach of the Island of Ischia, Italy (August 2019). Not sure what it is and, though I'd write more about what I think, I have no background or expertise...which of course is why I am here. Glad to provide any additional information if it would help. Thanks for your insights!

Can anyone identify this what type of marine life this skull is part of? I found it today along the East Coast of United States - Atlantic Ocean Spoon in photo for scale. The strange up raised markings on top are perplexing. Type of Eel perhaps? It's wet from me rinsing it in sink. Thank you!

This summer I poked around on McFadden beach for about an hour...didn't have much time as I was on my way to Louisianna, and there was a hurricane coming. Wish I could have gone after the hurricane, but ah well. Found a few little things, didn't really think much of them, but finally took some photos and lo and behold....one of the pieces has bryzoans and coral on it! So is this indeed a fossil of something or is it just a rock with bryzoans and coral? I picked it up because it looked bone like, but don't really think it is bone. The next piece is just intriguing, it looks like the rind of a cantaloupe! Again, not sure if it is anything biological or just weird geological. The Third piece I was wondering if it was coprolite of just weathered hash rock. Any thoughts and idea are appreciated! Thanks! First find: Second find: Third FInd:

Hello all, I found this item while searching for shark’s teeth post-hurricane Dorian in Surf City, NC. I am not sure at all what it is (if anything of interest at all), but it is pretty cool. It appears to have pieces of clear glass or crystal imbedded all throughout and when I found it it had a small strand of thread wrapped around it (it ended up falling off in my pocket, although you can see what is left of the thread in the profile picture attached about half way down the item). My first thought is that it almost looks like rusted metal. I’m certainly no expert in arrowheads, but it does appear to have a similar shape. Any help is appreciated! Thanks!

Hello again! I found this lovely lump of coral today, but it seems to have a bonus weird-boy sticking out of it! Firstly, any idea what kind of coral this is? Rugosa? But then - any idea what the bonus weird thing is? Haha Thank you very much! I'm learning so much from y'all!

I found these on the shore of Lake Erie, on Catawba island (west of Cleveland, Ohio). Any help identifying would be greatly appreciated. Pic 1, the creature is about the size of a fly or ladybug. Pic 2 &3 are the same fossil and the rock is about the size of a baseball. Pic 4 & 5, the rock is about the size of a golf ball or an egg.

Hi! I recently found this little jaw segment while beachcombing. It’s a bit less than 1/2” long and ~1/8” wide with a bit of rock attached to the convex side. One end of the jawbone curves upward in the direction of the teeth. Any ideas? For some reason I can upload only one image. I will add another post with more pics

Hi guys, just recently discovered this forum after years of collecting shark teeth from various beaches, mostly in the Carolinas. Most of them I’m pretty sure of what they are by just looking at charts I’ve seen but this one I’m not real sure, partly because it’s so warn and because I don’t have another one like it. Would love to hear your thoughts, thanks!

Hello all! So I found this oddball in an ice age clay cliff-face yesterday. When I was cleaning it tonight I noticed some unusual radiating lines coming from one corner on each of this cube-thing's long edges. I Took some quick snaps while wet and I'll post some dry ones in a mo! What weirdy beardy thingy is this? Thank you, all knowing Fossil Forum!

Hello! I have found this fossil in the beach (Sesimbra, Portugal), there are jurassic and cretaceous formations near to that location, can anyone help me to know more about this bone (type, period, what it is?) Thanks!

Hello again! I also found this yesterday It was weathering out of the ice age clay along the Yorkshire coast. Definitely rock and as I've cleaned the clay off it's resembling bone - but I'm a totes newbie, so it could well be a geologic quirk! What are your thoughts? Once again! Thank you for the advice! This forum is awesome.
