Hi all, I'm diving headfirst into fossicking as a new hobby, and used the Kings birthday long weekend (cheers big ears) to take my first trip to Beaumaris Bay in Melbourne, Australia. I picked up a few interesting bits and bobs, hoping to get some more knowledgeable eyeballs on them for identification. I've mainly referred to this document to make my best guess of each - Fossils of Beaumaris. There's another post from another user with some photos of the area here - http://www.thefossilforum.com/index.php?/topic/133429-fossil-hunting-trip-at-beaumaris-bay/ My guesses - 1 - Partial Lovenia woodsi (heart urchin) 2 - Partial Lovenia woodsi (heart urchin) 3 - Dolphin or porpoise periotic (inner ear bone) (wishful thinking?) 4 - Haven't the foggiest. Sorry I'm not able to get a clearer photo, not holding my breath for an ID on this one. 5 - Some type of ironstone structure? Thanks for any pointers! Just came back from Beaumaris Fossil beach and I have a load of fossils, I’d appreciate getting them identified I know that a few are sea urchins, and the shell but I’m just not sure about the other pieces Note: unfortunately I forgot to add a ruler/item for scale
