Here is my favorite vertebrate fossil of all time. It is an undescribed genus and species that lies very near the base of the antilocapridae. It is known in the folklore of vertebrate paleo as The Black Skull. Here is another specimen of the same taxon And finally, this skull is another undescribed genus and species which lies at the base of the antilocaprinae, the subfamily which includes the modern pronghorn.- 8 replies
