Hello! This is my first post. I'm from Nebraska and while out walking a creek I found what I believe is a bison. It was about 6 foot down on the side of the bank of the creek. Could anyone please verify that it is a bison and age.

Found this in a ravine while searching for anything on a hike. Live on an elevated Peninsula… most likely was sea pinnacle years ago. I wonder if this is not as aged as I would like to think…

Happy Friday everyone. During a recent visit to Montana I stumbled upon what I believe to be a partial tooth. Based on my fast and loose google search I’m guessing Bison as I think I am seeing a stylid? This was discovered in the shallows of a small body of water near the Madison river in Montana. Can anyone confirm or set me straight?

Found this in Northumberland, United Kingdom in a river. Not sure at all if it’s fossilised? Quick google searches brought up possible Bison Tooth (search said UK had Bison 6,000 - 10,000 years ago) other searches say possible horse tooth? It’s quite heavy and very solid. It’s measuring 6.5cm in length.

I found what I believe to be a lumbar vertebra, and I'm having trouble finding good comparison examples between equus and bison. I think those are my two most likely candidates. Do equus lumbar vertebrae have the foramen that I've circled in red below?

Hi I’m Tiffany. I was combing the river today in eastern Oklahoma.. lower Canadian.. and found this bone. Was just curious if anyone could tell me what kind it is?

Hi, I found this bone while kayaking this summer on the riverbank of the Greater Miami River in Dayton, Ohio. I have no archaeological background so I hope this is a good place for help in this identification. The bone is 20 inches in length and very dense. Thanks for looking

Help with id of these teeth found after flood we had finally in Texas recently. Pics 1-4 possible bison ? All same tooth 5-10 possible horse or other megafauna? any tooth experts recommendations are much appreciated let me know if I need to send root pics of teeth if that will help. thanks -
I was out on the Peace River, FL yesterday and found several interesting fossils. By taking advantage of many of @Harry Pristis excellent photo arrays I identified teeth found yesterday as domestic pig and a horse incisor. Unfortunately, even with Harry's example of cow vs bison and looking at several other sources I am still unable to decide if my find is bison. So I am hoping for some input from all of you to help with a definitive ID. The crown/bite surface of the tooth measures 32mm x 28mm. In the first photo I have placed yesterday's find on the left and what I believe to be a cow molar on the right. The remaining photos are of the tooth found yesterday. It is larger and much bulkier than what I believe is the cow tooth.

I found this tooth in Ladonia, Texas. It was sitting almost on the surface of a river bank. I’ve researched and think it is a M1 molar but I do not know if it is cow or bison. Also, I don’t know if it is a fossil or recent. If someone could help it would be much appreciated!

I found this tooth yesterday and thought bison right away. But it appears to be deformed and or broken so it caused me to doubt my ID. I would appreciate feedback on what others think. The crown of the tooth measures 12mm x 20 mm and is 10mm tall. Thanks!

Had a pretty good day on the Peace River, FL yesterday. Wanted to get one more hunt in before the temps dropped to the point it was just too cold to stand in the river all day even with a wetsuit. Find included deer teeth, camel/llama premolar, peccary tooth crown, gator teeth and the usual assorted shark teeth. I also came up with what I believe is the hoof core pictured below. After going through numerous photos on line and on the Forum I thought it was too big tube deer and too small to be bison, the shape didn't fit for horse. That left me with camelid as a possibility. I would greatly appreciate opinions on whether camelid hoof core is a good ID. Thanks! Specimen measures 44mm long x 41mm wide x 21mm high -

Wondering if this is a cow, bison, or horse tooth. Was found on the platte river in central Nebraska. It does appear to be fossilized so I’m not sure how old that makes it. Originally thought cow but since it does seem to be fossilized I’m not sure there were cows in Nebraska that long ago. Any help is appreciated

Could someone please tell me if this a Prehistoric Bison bone? I found this above ground in Northeast Georgia. I can't remember the measurements & I have stored it at a safe place. Opinions are welcome! Thank you.
