Found this bone in the Peace River, FL last week. I have been attempting to narrow down an id since then. I believe it is an Ungual Phalanx but have not been able to determine from what. It measures 35 mm long x 35 mm wide and 33 mm tall at the highest point. As such, it is larger than what I can find for deer or llama and smaller than than what I have found for Equus or bison. That has led me to an old post from @Shellseeker that resulted in a giant tortoise id for an ungual phalanx and makes me think this could be another. It was found in a spot that produced several tortoise leg spurs and large shell pieces on the same day. I am hopeful someone can provide an ID. Thanks.

The waterways are down enough to hunt some again in my area. This is a find from yesterday, sandy gravel matrix in the river. Pleistocene era. I'm thinking it looks like a spinous process from a large vertebrae, but I'm not positive. I'm also unclear on size differences and other distinctions that could help me narrow down the species. I was thinking possibly bison or camel. Any ideas would be great.

Three finds from yesterday that I am hoping to get a bit of help on. The first is what I think is a bison metacarpel. Or is it Bos? Next up is what I believe to be a whale tooth: Last is what I first thought of as whale or dolphin, but it seems to have an extreme glossy and smooth finish. I then looked at a feline canine and thought this could also be a possible.

I have four specimens I found yesterday in the Peace River, FL that I need some help with on a positive ID. First up is what I believe is a 4" fragment of a mammoth tooth with a long root? Next up a nicely colored Bison upper molar? I am hoping for an ID on the following Vert that I think is cetacean? Finally, what I first thought to be a vert when pulled from the river. I now have doubts due to the various indentations on the surface. I am pretty confident it is bone but not sure what. Looking forward to hear what others think!

Back to the Peace River yesterday and the spot I have been digging for the past few weeks keeps on giving. I believe I have identified the two items displayed here after several hours of searching the web and looking at hard copy references. Specimen #1 that I believe is Bison is thanks to a post from 2012 by Shellseeker. He posted a tooth that he noted as a Bison upper premolar, P4 that I think is a match. Item #2, also after a long search that included prior posts by Shellseeker, I believe (hope) is a fragment of Glossotherium Harlani - Harlands Ground Sloth. Please let me know what you all think.

I'm pretty new to fossil hunting except I've always have been fascinated with seeing all the cool stuff in large lots of river stone everywhere I go. Recently I started hunting geodes, other cool rocks and crystals and fossils. Last week I was out "hunting" in general and came across a running spring stream bed. This was on top of the rocks right next to the water. Cooler than any geode or rock that I would find. I'm in central Pennsylvania and I have a couple of ideas of what it might be from but I thought that I would ask the group. Thank you all in advance!
