Despite weathering, I was hoping there may be enough features for an ID. My initial impression was that it could potentially be a bivalve. However, after seeing a photo of fossil sponges from the area (see last pic), I think that is a reasonable consideration as well. Thanks for looking!

I found these while on a trek uphill. I’ve posted it on different sites but no one can give a positive ID on my finds. Location is Cebu, Philippines by the way. Always been curious about how the ocean life was here millions of years ago as most studies indicate that the Philippine archipelago was submerged in water. For more angles, click on that imgur link as I have labelled those there.

Item 1 looks like a pretty large bivalve, but maybe it's just a rock with a cavity or seed pod? Item 2 seems like a fossil to me, and seems to have the right "look" of a fossilized bone. Item 3 was found in the same spot as 1 and 2, a fallen tree next to a creek in Southeastern Mercer County. Item 4 was found farther south in NJ, near the Delaware River in Burlington County. My 10-year old is convinced it's a fossil - the blue rock is very soft, the matrix seems to be reactive to vinegar. As a beginner with a youngster who is obsessed at the moment with finding fossils, I'd love to

Is this a bivalve fossil or just a contoured flint?
Granny and Aust posted a topic in General Fossil Discussion
This little stone(?) caught my eye while sitting on Southwold Beach (UK). It’s basically a flint covered shoreline but the contours on this looked shell like. It could just be another bit of flint, but I’ve not seen this sort of weapon a piece before. thank you for any help - as usual- 3 replies

Hello Everyone In June last year I went on a trip with my parents to the Late Ordovician / Early Silurian-aged Cotton Formation at the Cotton Hill quarry in Forbes. All relevant permission was obtained from the local council prior to attending. I have heard that the Fossil Club of Australia (formerly NSW) do trips here as a group as well, that's probably the easiest way to attend. I planned to post this in August, however due to Covid I didn’t have access to the fossils to take pictures. Also, I only just recently bought some macro equipment to take photos of the f
