Could this be a horse tooth? How old?

Found this on the lower Brazos while catfishing Saturday. Its overall size is throwing me off and making me think I might get to add a new name to my finds list. Thank in advance team.

These are a couple of odd bones from the Brazos River between SH 159 and FM 529. They appear to be the same thing, other than size, and they appear to be from opposite sides of the animal. The smaller one is 11.5 cm long and is pretty much intact. The larger one is 25 cm and is broken at the tip and the rounded lobe end. It probably would have been 30 cm plus. They are highly mineralized. Any idea what these might be?

Hi Everyone, I found an interesting large bone fragment in the Brazos River, outside of Harris County, Texas. The fragment has a thick sidewall, so I am guessing it is from a large mammal, possibly mammoth. The thing that I can't wrap my head around is the odd pocket-like texture exhibited on one side of the bone. Could these odd pockets help in the identification of this fossil? Also, I have attached a picture of 2 antlers from the Brazos. They both look like they are whitetail deer antlers to me. One is much larger than the other, possibly due to age and nutrition of the animal? Thanks for checking them out.

Just cleaned up this tooth from my hunt the other day on the Brazos. I had thought it was a small equus tooth, there is definitely an isolated protocone. I know some of you like @Shellseeker and @Harry Pristisare pretty good at comparing these teeth to each other. I can look at them all day and they just start looking the same. Any ideas? Also, I've seen some line drawings before on line that compared many of these horses all on one page, but can't locate it any more. The only ones I can find now are not very clear. Does anyone have something like that they'd care to share?

Great variety today. I’ll add more pics tomorrow but just had to get this piece uploaded tonight. I’m almost positive this is capybara. I only hesitate because I have not found any other capybara material on the Brazos River. Needless to say , I’m pretty stoked with this find!!! Will definitely be entering this in FOTM!!!

My husband went to our special place with out me!!! I don’t know any more about the bone in the comments, than this picture, he just text me these pictures and can’t talk right now because he’s driving. I’ll find out later I guess, it’s still cool. Anyone know what lived there that it may belong to??

This is a vertebra that I found on a gravel bar last month on the south Brazos. It is large but has a small neural opening, and I wonder if it is from near the end of the tail. Someone have a clue? It does look like a megatherium caudal that I found in a paper, but that photo is poor.

My name is Amanda. I am a Texas native of 35 years and counting. I am fairly new to this fossil finding thing, however, it has captivated me since childhood. I have always been the outdoor, country, and tomboy type. I have been hunting arrowheads for a little over a year now. And just in the last few months have found what I thought were just rocks upon first glance, but have since come to the realization that I may have something more unique.

I found this several months ago on the Brazos River, Texas. The articulating surface measures about 7 x 8 inches. I'm thinking it's a chunk of proboscidean pelvis. I also considered scapula, but leaning toward pelvis. Also, any way to differentiate between mammoth and mastodon? Thanks!

I don't know what these fossils are. But my observation is. The 3 biggest fossils have a dense soft sponge center (florist type sponge) and glass shells. The first 3 also have a sharp edges. The other 3 show the deterioration/transition process. #4 has lost most of the soft sponge core. #5-6 are solid fossil. They kinda look like some type of digging claws. What are they?

Here's another jaw I found on the Brazos River. Hope someone can help me id it. The total piece is 4 inches long and the length of the longest tooth is 3/8inch across the top of the crown.

Any ideas for what this jaw belongs to? Pleistocene river gravel from the Brazos in SE Texas. The teeth are either very worn, or the crowns have broken off. Thanks!

I'm canoeing the Brazos river next weekend(weather permitting) starting from the Possum Kingdom dam and headed 20 miles down. I've had luck finding bivalves and gastropods on other parts of the river. This section of the river is new to me. I'll be on the river 3 days. Any tips on what to look for and where to look for it would be appreciated. Thanks guys

I've had this piece from the Brazos River pleistocene gravel for a while and finally got around to taking some pics. I think I see schreger lines, but maybe just growth rings of wood. What do y'all think. Hope the pics are clear enough.
