I believe this is an Ulna from a North American Camel. Picked it up in the Brazos earlier this month before the river rose 34'. I have added a side by side of a horse Ulna to show the size differential. I have not completely eliminated the possibility that it is really big horse. What are your thoughts? Camel? Big horse? other? Thanks for the input.

Hello This is another recent find of mine in the lower brazos TX. I first was calling it a shark vertabra but now I am unsure. I see examples of vertabra here showing concentric circles and a Well defined center. Mine is more like bone. Could it be part of a mammoth foot or phalange? I still think it is some kind of back bone though. Thanks for looking.

I have had this bone for a few months. I found it in the lower brazos river in southeast Texas. I find Pleistocene and recent bones. I've looked all over the skeletons of my usual suspects cow, horse, camel but have not found a match. I think it is complete. Today I was looking though one of the excelent galleries here and saw a cave bear astragalus. It was too small but kind of had the shape I was looking for. I found what might be a closer match with the sloth. I'm just matching Google images though. I'm wondering if anyone can tell me if I am hot or cold. I'm not sure how to hold this so sorry if I've shown bad angles. The greatest dimension is 3 3/4" accross Thanks for checking out my find!

My largest find yet! I am quite certain because of its size it is mammoth but I'm curious to see if there is enough bone to make a better ID.

I found this tooth and antler in the lower brazos river. The antler looks a lot like deer to me. The tooth is my first to find. I haven't found a similar tooth searching through the forum, so any thoughts?

Well, we recently solved a sloth mystery and I think I have another sloth bone. Is this possibly a knuckle or metacarpal? I saw an image on line from Florida that looked very similar, but much smaller.

I found this tiny bone today on the Brazos River in SE Texas. It looks like a small phalanx, but one end comes to a flattened point and is much darker than the rest. Any help with id and an explanation for the weird end of the bone would be much appreciated.
