I usually attempt this mixture of Trip report (finds) and a couple of Fossil_id. Sunday I was out hunting the 1st time with Jp @Balance, Today with 2 Octogenarians that have been hunting partners for over 10 years, Just that fact made the days different... Truly a unique mixture of finds... Knowns... A couple of very nifty Alligator Osteoderms.. Neither seems broken in any way.... A partial silicified seashell... I love these ... It might be Fulguropsis spiratuma, from Florida's Pliocene. Let's see if @MikeR has a suggestion... An Armadillo Osteoderm... A Tympanic Bulla that I think I recognize ... s Bobby says an Oceanic Dolphin, something like Delphinus or Stenella. Note that silica is taking hold here also 1/2 a Tapir tooth , some Hemipristis and a few tigers. Then what seems to be a bullet... One of my hunting companions thinks it is old.. really old ... like possibly the Seminole wars.. That would be exciting.. It is certainly nondescript but seems to be made of lead.. Any insight appreciated. Finally, a fossil tusk to Identify. Think found by my other hunting companion.

Ok, clearly this isn't a fossil. I'm not a weapons person, but it looks like a bullet. So how about ideas on what happened here? How did it get in this compilation of geological and shell material, was it the heat of friction that caused the "sleeve" of debris part way down, is that a military bullet (and if so, what would it be doing on the East Coast - practice at a military base), etc. Anyway, just found washed up on Myrtle Beach. -- Paula

Hey guys I went to Pine Cliff NC again.(I went Sunday aswell ) This time was a bit more interesting, though not as big teeth some other stuff. I found a fired .22 bullet which is just great. Found some bear poop, even better. I found some cool shells and what apears to be a fossilized tiny mammal jaw fragment. I also found a ray mouth plate which I haven't found before. Does anything stand out to you? anyone know what these are? Possible jaw fragment anyone know what this could be? anyone know the species?

Found in southern NV today. Appears to have radial symmetry but doesn't look like any crinoids I've found. Ideas?
