Hello, I recently visited this road cut in west georgia and found this 4ft long shrimp burrow that I believe was made by a crustacean. I also found this possible scallop pecten sp. fossil. I will attempt to get the fossil out intact later this week.

Good evening folks! I’ve had this specimen in my collection since April 2013 when I first visited Big Brook in New Jersey. I have a separate fossil from the same trip that I am more thoroughly convinced is bone which is highly dense and has probable scavenging marks. If it is a fossil then a more reasonable answer may be burrow cast. I may have slight delusions of grandeur with this piece, but I think it’s worth discussing!

Yesterday I broke up a small boulder from an area my town filled in with rock from a nearby road project. I believe that this is Marcellus or Harrell/Brailer Shale. The item pictured is about 2 inches long and completely filled with very pretty little pyrite cubes. Can anyone tell is this an in filled worm burrow or a a filled Crinoid stem? Both things were in other parts of the same boulder. The item in the third photo i cant decide if its a "brach" or a "trilo-bit"? Anyone want to hazzard a guess.
