  1. Hey y'all I've been wanting to add a Carcharodontosaurus bone to my traveling education program. I found this on the favorite auction site. I still don't seem to have a great grasp of vertebrae yet and I know my limitations so I'm here to ask for help. I appreciate any and all help. Thanks y'all.

    Another New Tooth

Another tooth added to the collection, a 4.2 inch rooted Carcharodontosaurus tooth and a smaller one. It has some really nice colours to it! Just wanted to say as well I'm really enjoying this forum and already I've met some awesome people
  3. I know that T. rex used to be considered the biggest meat eating theropod dinosaur until the discovery of Giganotosaurus, but Spinosaurus is now considered the biggest theropod of all time. Who first considered Spinosaurus to be larger than T. rex. Is it possible that the emergence of giant carcharodontosaurs and tyrannosaurs in North America and Asia prompted ankylosaurids to develop tail clubs to fend off those predators.
  4. From the album: Dinosaur Teeth

This is my current collection of Carcharodontosaurus saharicus teeth as of October 29, 2014. I have added a few more specimens since my last post in August so thought I would add an updated photo. I have played around with different display options and personally like the Rikker boxes and want to create a upper and lower jaw-like arrangement. The age of this dinosaur teeth are Mid Cretaceous epoch, Albian stage (96 million years ago). There were all found south of Taouz, K'Sar-es-Souk province, Kem-Kem basin region of Morocco and range from 3.4 inches to 5.5 inches along the outer curvature.
  5. From the album: Dinosaurs and Reptiles

Distal serration density is almost 3/mm, for typical Carcharodontosaurus it is ~2/mm. However, I also compared it to my other juvenile wide-crown Carch teeth and it seems that 2.7-3/mm is typical for juveniles.

    Even bigger handful!

    From the album: Dinosaur Teeth

I've acquired a few more large Carchcarodontosaurus teeth since I last posted a "handful picture". These four teeth all have an outer curvature length of at least 5 inches. The one on the left measures 5.50 inches and all of the other three measure 5.0 inches. I just love these large theropod teeth!

    From the album: Dinosaur Teeth

Here are 4 of the largest Carcharodontosaurus teeth. They are quite a handful! From left to right they measure between 4.25 inches and 5.50 inches along the outer curvature. Need a 6.0 incher to complete the collection!
