How should I preserve this fish? The limestone is super chalky and the cracks have been stabilized with super glue. My question is... what can I coat this with so it's not super chalky when being touched? Elmers glue all and water? Followed by a thin coat on the fish.l Only with paraloid? Would anyone recommend cleaning more fragments off before sealing

Upon my father's death, he left me with a treasure trove of crates filled with a plethora of various items, including antique chess boards and pieces (he was a master), rare stamps, and several more including rocks and fossils. I remember growing up, walking side by side, our heads down scouring the ground for beautiful and or unusual rocks - "DADDY. look what I found!" He would always reply enthusiastically no matter how unassuming or simple (concretions no doubt) they might be. A bonding experience we shared for many years. I gave some of the crates to family members and kept several for myself. I recently cracked open a new rather small crate; what I found consumed my heart and soul. When I was younger, celebrating a birthday, he said "Pick anything you want for your birthday" - To his surprise I told him I wanted to pick out a rock at the Rock Store... So we did... The rock is around 20 pounds and at one time beautiful crystals embedded in the center. The outside consists of a deep rust color, and quite soft as the color seems chalky can be rubbed off. I have yet to shine it up. I would love to have this identified. But the best part of this crate is the "other" surprise he included as shown below.
