Hunting locales near Chattanooga, Tennessee, NW GA, and surrounding areas?

Hello all, My girlfriend and I will be driving from Atlanta, GA up to the Chattanooga, TN area for a day trip in a few weeks. I am aware of some spots in the Chat area, and have had success there. I am now looking for new spots, and possibly permission from anyone here on the forums who may live in the area to search their property. Any locations, tips, or pointers would be greatly appreciated! Feel free to PM/inbox me if its something you'd like kept private. I never disclose peoples personal spots, so I understand. As I said, we are going to be driving through northwest GA, passing through Dalton. If anyone knows any spots in northwest GA we could stop at, please let me know! -
I found this rock while searching for fossils in my backyard in signal Mountain Tennessee which is right outside of Chattanooga. I have no idea what it is but started doing some research and one of the first things I came across was that this area is known to have a lot of Chattanooga shale. Then I learned that Chattanooga Shell is supposed to have lots of Conodont fossils which are known for their teeth like structures. The pictures I found of those structures look a whole lot like this fossil. But I’ve come to believe that that’s impossible because my fossil is about 2 inches big and I believe the Conodont fossils are very small. found this rock in a creek but it very possibly could have been brought to my lot as landscape stone decades ago. Just dont know. any help is greatly appreciated!

Hello all! This is my first post in the forum besides the introduction. I’m open to any and all interpretations on this piece. Did I just find a fish head in my backyard? There are tons of fossils (marine and palm) pouring out of the hills on my property. I’m so close to Chattanooga (10 minutes away), I imagine we would share similar geology but I’m unsure and try not to make assumptions. Yay for the scientific method! Found on the surface at the base of a shallow ravine among lots of fossil palm wood, shale outcroppings, and some volcanic(?) glass. Northern Walker co, Georgia, USA. Pictures are as follows... 1) “Right” side 2) “Left” side 3) “Top” 4) “Bottom” with “mouth” facing left 5) “Back” side with “top” at the top of photo 6) “Underside” with “mouth” at bottom left of photo 7) The location behind my driveway that keeps vomiting out fishy bits and petrified wood!
