Is Cladodus part of Cladoselachiformes or Ctenacanthiformes

As I was recently doing some research on the prehistoric shark genus Cladodus, I came across some info that classifies the genus as a member of the family Cladoselachidae, Order Cladoselachiformes. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cladoselachidae This is somewhat confusing to me as mindat and the Paleontological Database aka fossilworks list Cladodus as a member of the family Ctenacanthidae, Order Ctenacanthiformes. https://www.mindat.org/taxon-8657177.html http://www.fossilworks.org/cgi-bin/bridge.pl?a=taxonInfo&taxon_no=104838 -

Location: Missouri Period: Pennsylvanian Formation: Iola Limestone (Muncie Creek Shale Member) Hello once again! Today I have a fossil tooth that I happened to have seen while going through my old phosphatic nodules from Muncie Creek and was wondering if anyone could identify it further than a Cladodont tooth. I have googled images of Cladodont teeth and believe it to possible be a tooth belonging to Falcatidae, but what do you think? It resembles a few of these teeth on the chart below in size and form, hence why i'm mak -
I have been slowly going through both the Cretaceous micro matrix from the Mesaverde formation and the Permian micro from the Council Grove Group of Kansas. I have found quite a bit of partial shark and ray teeth from the Mesaverde stuff but have not photographed it. So far the Permian mix has been a different story. The fossils are much smaller and there has been little shark material. I am not too upset though as I have only been through about 1/3 of it. The fossils are so small it takes quite a bit of time to go through. We did have a little success though and I am quite thrille

Micro Fossil Report- Our first foray into the world of micros

I thought it would be fun and possibly helpful to other collectors to discuss the results of my first foray into the world of micro fossil exploration. I had purchased some quantities of micro matrix from two different formations and they provided vastly different experiences for me as a collector. I got a vial of micro fossils from the Neva formation which is from Kansas and is Permian. This stuff really proved to be quite a challenge and was not ideal to start with.
