I wanted to share this right leg Spinosaurus leg. its not everyday this comes up just for discussion. I know there a few things wrong with it, but I still felt it was interesting enough to share. For one thing its missing the upper inside toe that is located higher then its three main toes. And of course its composited with parts of different animals, that is always the case . It also seems like some of the proportions and position are off. Sized at 40 x 38 x 130 cm (discription)

Hello and good evening. I found that in an unexplored area besides a river ,in a village close to Athens, Greece. Through research i find many similarities with claws of small theropods. Its size is around 3 cm length. Any ideas what exactly is it? Appreciate your time.

Found on surface of field in Eastern Iowa 15 years ago, guessing it may have been carried on a tire from a gravel road, dropped by a human or deposited by glacier. Hard grey limestone. Fine details suggest to me a digit pulled from a carcass & buried. Apparent rodent-like bite marks in both the nail and flesh. This thing is amazing to me but I am having trouble finding much to help identify via internet. Any ideas? Am I imagining things here?

Hi all, Any thoughts on the ID of this claw? About 3 cm long, sold as ?dromaeosaur claw from Hell Creek, Slope County, ND. The phalanx was found in the same location but not articulated. I've chewed through the excellent "Identification of Claws/Unguals from the Hell Creek/Lance Formations" topic but can't quite fit it to anything!

I do a post without a pic. A guy offered us a great claw from a Diplo. This was only partly prepped, because it has horn scabbard-remains. I am not familiar with dinoclaw- horn-scabbard, saw it for the first time live. Does anyone has infos about this preservation, literature, or has there been a post in TFF about it? Could not find one. As it is not the cheapest one I did not buy today. But, think about doing it, because it is very unusual. And, I love strange and unusual fossils. (When we got it I will post some pics, promised!)

Hope someone can ID this claw from Niger. The seller says it was found in Gadoufaoua (Elrhaz Formation). But fossils often mix by the diggers. I don't know if the information is correct. It would be helpfull if someone can tell if its sauropod (as the seller claims) or if the fossil claw is theropod. Thanks for the help!

Looking for ID of this tiny claw. According to the seller it's an unidentified theropod claw from the Cretaceous albian. Location: Kem Kem Basin, Taouz, Morocco. It's a very tiny claw of 0.67" (1.7 cm)

Hi! This was found near Meridian, Texas, US. The geographical area has a large quantity of limestone rocks and boulders filled with shell fossils. We were exploring a boulder and realized an area was slightly loose, and we pulled out this item that was wedged within the boulder. There is a smallish lake nearby. The boulders were manually placed to block cars from parking on the campsite, though they were likely sourced from the area as there are naturally occurring ones all throughout the park hiking trails. Appreciate any info on what this might or might not be!

Small claw from the Kem Kem? possible croc, turtle or small theropod?
msantix posted a topic in Fossil ID
Hi, I know claws from the Kem Kem are very hard to identify since not much is published on them, but this is a small 2.1cm claw from the Kem Kem with a curved shape that makes me think that it might be enough to determine if it is theropod (as listed) or croc or even turtle. My gut tells me it is likely to be croc or turtle, but I think some members here might have claws just like this in their collection, so thought it would be worth asking. -

Hi! I am an new member. I have been collection for awhile and just started on buying more valuable pieces. A friend adviced me to check this Pachy toe on the forum. The main question is: is it an composit or - as the seller told me - associated? Background information: - Found in Garfield County (near the city of Jordan), Montana by the landowner. - The bones were found in the same hillside (spilling down a little wash). No other Pachy material was found nearby In one picture I the small toe bone is removed (maybe this is the mix-up). Hope you can help! Thanks in advance! Best Regards, Mike Jolink (mikejk_fossils on Instagram)

Is this an authentic Spinosaurus claw? I'm a little cautious as it's from Morocco and I've heard there's a lot of fakes, reconstructions from there.
