    Possible Alabama Fossil

This was found on a beach in Gulf Shores, AL along the Gulf of Mexico. I'm thinking copralite? Probably turtle? Or have we just found a cool rock? Lol. Thank you.
  2. Hello again. Curious if you're thinking this may be copralite or fossil bone also didnt lick this one w the poop factor and all!! Lol Hoping someone can tell what it is thanks!

    Coprolite fossil ID

Found this “piece of snarge” fossil on a fossil trip in Kemmerer Wyoming.. Piece of snarge? Coprolite? It’s a pun, get it? Seriously though, they think it’s either crocodilian or turtle in origin. What do you guys think? Anyway to tell? it’s pretty cool. I’ve got lots of other fossils to share later.

    Very tiny fossil

So, I was interested in looking at Copralite under a magnifier. I got it it Kemmerer, Wyoming. I saw something very weird that I could not see with the naked eye, only a magnifier at the highest setting. Attached are 4 pictures. one of the copralite without the magnifier, one zoomed in low, one zoomed in high, and a fourth I will explain later As you can see, there are tiny "Bug like things" in the rock. They all have legs, and what look like antennae. The fourth picture shows them traveling in a perfect arc towards something. A behavioral fossil discovery perhaps? I have no idea what these black things are. Can someone try to help me?
  5. OK, so I'm a newbie and not terribly educated in fossil identification. I'm a librarian in Dallas, TX and we have occasional programs where kids can dig through some materials from the Aurora Fossil Museum in Aurora, NC. They collect it from the Aurora Phosphate Mine. So after the last program, I found these items and I'm wondering what they are. I'm wondering if the first one is a coprolite, because it kind of looks like poop! The four tiny teeth are interesting because it looks like 3 might be the same species and the thin one looks like it came from something else.
