I found this on a sandbar along the Kansas River in Shawnee, KS. I found a collection of aquatic fossils on the sandbar that look like they had been washed up. I don't know what this is, it appears to have small bone or cartilage fragments imbedded in it (I'll take some close up pictures and upload them if needed). The top face has irregular divots while the back side is more smooth. The whole piece is hard and heavy (best I can tell, it's has a 7 or so on the hardness scale). I haven't really seen anything like this before.

Found this yesterday at Big Brook in New Jersey. Trying to figure out if it's just a rock with an interesting texture or a fossil. About 1×0.5×0.5 cm

No location unfortunately as I bought this at an auction for my toddler (who loves dinosaurs and also poop). I am dying to know what creature plopped this deuce so my son and I can learn more about it. I know some of you on here are experts on ancient excrement, thanks for your help!! Walked and walked and walked til I couldn’t to walk any more. Really thought after the recent rains that I would find more but I am very pleased with this absolutely perfect and beautiful coprolite. Also found a nice mosy tooth. Rest were just scraps I gave to kids on the way out. IMG_7369.MOV

Coprolite Jurassic, Callovian Oxford Clay, Peterborough Member Hampton Lakes, Peterborough, Cambridgeshire, UK A coprolite from an indeterminate marine predator, showing inclusions of nacre, partially digested bone, and fish scales of Pholidophorus? sp. (an indeterminate pholidophorid) and Coccolepis sp. (an enigmantic coccolepid). -
Found in Eagle Ford creek, funky looking whatever it is. Because of the fine grains and indent on the end I started thinking maybe this wasn't just a concretion, but I'll leave it up to the experts.

This is from mix of Eagle Ford and Alluvium, had it for awhile but just ran across pictures of turtle coprolite and thought it fit, right size, shape and colors I've seen. Also weighs light. Knowing my luck it's geological but that's ok it's very interesting. I snuck in another one I suspect is coprolite

Found in gravel from the Brazos River ....I got it wet and it was a bit more tacky than other stones that given its odd shape and texture makes me think it may be Coprolite?... well one can hope right?...if its not that then it is some tacky poop looking concretion or normal stone....if it is nothing its another pebble for my garden of look like, could have been but nots.

Picked this up in creek that is mostly Eagle Ford but is downstream from where it cuts through QAL. Pretty sure it's a concretion but given it has a few inclusions want to make sure it's not coprolite, and yes I read the post on the subject but still left me unsure so best to leave it up to the experts!

Stopped by a new home construction site, a tad NE of DFW airport, Eagle Ford Kef, so far just levelled with road cuts. Stumbled upon this shark tooth and I lack the experience to ID it. Next up the rock which is what I think is fish coprolite, it weighs nothing, doesn't look like any shark coprolite I've seen, and there were no other rocks that looked even close. Lastly, and I might be way off, I'm pretty sure is shark related, my first impression was it looked like a puddle of barf. These were just the biggest peices the rest was shattered. I know sharks vomit so that was just a thought , it has the makings of coprolite but lacks shape, eager to learn what it is!

I unfortunately have no location on this road pie as it came in an auction lot. Is it coprolite? And if so is there any indication as to what animal might have excreted it? Thank you!

After my last NSR trip, and finding a mosasaur vert, I felt like I was getting a better eye for NRS fossils. I have always heard the feeder creeks can be productive however I have searched in several never found anything in them. Now that I had more confidence I went to a more remote bridge and went for the first feeder creek I could find. It turned out to be decently productive with several more verts, none in particularly great condition though, and a jaw section. I think there is a coprolite in there too, pictures 14 and 15 maybe? I think my favorite find of all was the artifact though. Anyone have an idea what pictures 7-13 are of? 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. 8. 9. 10. 11. 12. 13. 14. 15.

I had a great half day at the North Sulphur River Texas before the rain got me. I found a mix of everything to include artifacts, Xiphactinus vert, swordfish tooth, coprolite, turtle shell, partially rooted mosasaur tooth, killer mosasaur paddle bone, Enchodus jaws, shark teeth and old toys. My buddy racked up on mosasaur verts.

Location: Missouri Time period: Pennsylvanian Formation: Muncie Creek Shale I have found fish coprolites before but I am not sure what this is as I am not an expert in coprolite identification. Everyone said NSR was dry and picked over but I hiked 9 hrs and found some cool stuff. My favorites are the Protostega costal bone with partial rib head preserved, the mosasaur bone with bite mark and the artifacts. I walked in tracks all day but the river is too large for someone to get everything and people miss quite a bit.
