Member of the Month - OCTOBER 2021 - MATTHEW TEXTOR
Fossildude19 posted a topic in Member of the Month
Fall is falling, and leaves are as well. What happened to Summer? With another change in seasons comes another month, and a new Member of the Month is crowned. This months, MotM, by unanimous staff vote, is : Matthew Textor Since June of 2008, (13 years!) Mathew has been sharing his Mid Devonian finds from his ever generous creek in Kennedy, NY. He has a knack for finding some really interesting looking pieces. True, ... Matt doesn't find dinosaurs, or shark teeth, or crabs, but his "common" Devonian invertebrate finds are always a welcome sight, and remind us how UNCOMMONLY beautiful even common fossils can be. Matt shows us that all fossils are cool, and can bring their own charm to our attention, and anyone can appreciate a moment frozen in time. Matt, thanks for sharing your fossils with us! I personally enjoy your posts, and enjoy seeing what you have found in your creek with each new trip. Keep up the good work, my friend. If you wish, feel free to tell us about how you came to your fossil paradise, and found the Fossil Forum. Cheers, Matt!- 35 replies

I made a trip over to Green Mill Run in NC this past weekend to look for fossils in the creek. My son and I had a wonderful time and found some great sharks teeth and other stuff. I'm stuck though on trying to identify this tooth. It does not look like any of the other teeth that I have found in the creek. Could it be a land mammal tooth? Thanks in advance for any ideas that you may have.
