Hello everyone, I recently finished preparing some ribs that I posted in the fossil preparation category and am having some trouble IDing them. One is fairly complete and the other 2 are fragments. They were found grouped together in Garfield County, Montana on a ranch. I think they resemble some Thescelosaurus ribs that I've seen in some papers but not enough to be confident in assigning an ID. Here are front and back views of each rib individually. I also found numerous bits of other bones in the jacket one of them being what I think is a carpal of something but haven't had time to do much digging. Here are some top and bottom views. I know you've said ribs are tricky to ID @Troodon but if you have any insight it would be very appreciated. Thank you all for your time and help.

New to the group, so wanted to say hello. I'm looking for some help on this fish fossil. At first I thought for sure it was enchodus but in comparing it with one that I have it seems to have a much larger body unfortunately no head was found on this one. I realize that one could be juvenile vs an adult with that being said these jaws if it is from this species are also different and larger then enchodus head that I have. Both or all were found within the same geologic area of each other along with mosasaurus vertebras. The jaw sections (8" and 6") in picture could be part of this species as they were found at the same location just not at the same SITE. Measurements: spine 24" long end of tail fin 16". Thank ED

Yesterday I was taking a walk in my area of Cretaceous, and I found these two pieces. At first I thought of misshapen fragments, of some kind of ammonite. But at home looking at them in more detail, I realized that the ammonite is complete, (it hurts that they are not in better condition). As I observe it seems that they are elongated, and crushed, and in a state of death, they folded. The most deteriorated one has a hole in the shell, in which the septa can be seen, and the other the sutures can be seen well. The largest measures 2.3 ctms in its current state, (folded). What kind of cephalopod can it be?

Can this be a spinosaurus sacrum?
Kutembea posted a topic in Is It Real? How to Recognize Fossil Fabrications
I found this fossil online a few days ago and might be interested in buying it. But I don't know much about the spinosaurus, I just have good knowledge when it comes to the teeth. It is said to be the sacrum of a spinosaurus, it is 13,77 inches (or 35 centimeters). 95 million years old and was found in southern marocco, in the sahara desert. Could it be a spinosaurus sacrum from a small individual or what else could it be?- 3 replies
