Hi everyone! This is my first post on here and I made an account just to ID this because this has been puzzling me for years. I found this in a vase of seashells that I bought down in Daytona, Florida in 2014. That’s pretty much all I remember about it. Ever since I’ve been wondering what it is. It has a very smooth and polished feel to it, like ceramic. There aren’t any ridges except for a very faint shell imprint near one of the edges, which I included in the photos. I think it is a shell fossil as well but I’d like to know what kind? It just looks pretty weird but cool to me. It’s a little over two inches, as pictured. I hope the photos provided are enough and thank you to anyone who helps out!

Hello all Im kinda new to fossil and mineral hunting. Ive went out here and there and just never got to lucky. Lived in Florida my whole life pretty much and might have only found 10 sharks teeth. Always loved fossils though. I wanted to be a paleontologist when i was a kid. A professor kinda scared me away from getting a degree in it. Went for buisness insted blah. Anyway hopefully with the help of this forum i might be able to find a little more sharks teeth and other cool things

Has anyone ever has success in Volusia county? I know the st. John's has many creeks and streams that run off of it. I'm really curious about these areas, I just dont know where I have access to. Any guidance is helpful!
