Hello, i saw this Dinosaur tooth from morocco for sale today and wondered how high the possibilitys for it beeing a Dromeosaur tooth are. It does not look very Carch or Abeli like to me, which is a good sign i guess ? Migth be Noasaurid maybe ? I dont know, but maybe you ! Machine learning identifies possible Deltadromeus tooth

I recently saw this tooth for sale identified as a Deltadromeus, but it looks suspiciously similar to teeth sold as "indeterminate Abelisaurid", mine included, so I thought it would be worth checking. The seller has stated the tooth is "17mm x 10mm at the widest points". No other measurements were given. Thanks in advance for any guidance Othniel

Never surprised at what may pop up in the Kem Kem, another twist, we really do know so little. All those collectors that think they have big teeth from Deltadromeus may have to change their thinking. Nothing here is set in stone, we still need a skull to fully describe this dinosaur. Christophe Hendrickx posted this: "According to this abstract, Deltadromeus would no longer be a noasaurid ceratosaur or a neovenaptorid allosauroid but a basal ornithomimosaur! This taxon moves so much along the theropod tree. It really needs a detailed description!" This is an abstract from a talk by Max Kellermann best image I can find

Is the dinosaur, or so called dinosaur Deltadromeus Agilis an actual valid species of dinosaur. As some people claim it to be. Others do not. I do not have a clear view of the situation and I'd love someone to properly explain it.

Came across this Vert from the KemKem region. Looks like a regular croc or crocodylomorph vertebrae to me, apparently he is very convinced it's a "deltadromeus" vert. Anyone that can help clear this up

Hi everyone! The owner of this tooth received it as a Deltadromeus but says he's not convinced. Size makes him doubt. Is it possibile to be sure of the ID of this tooth from Taouz, Marocco? Is it definetly Deltadromeus agilis? Thanks

Hi all. Another Kem Kem tooth that I find hard to ID. I would say definitely not Abelisaurid. When comparing this tooth to the photo's in Troodons Kem Kem theropod topic I fine it hard to find a good match. The tooth is 3 cm long. Thanks again!

Since I bought a couple of (very nice) Abelisaurid teeth from Kem Kem, which I initially thought where Dromaeosaurid, I am on the lookout for potential Dromaeosaurid teeth from Kem Kem. I think this tooth (1.9 cm) might be a candidate, but I have been wrong before. What are your thoughts? Should I ask for better pictures of the serrations or a serratiom count?

Hi everyone, I am currently eyeing this Theropod tooth from the Kem Kem beds in Morocco which is listed as a Deltadromeus tooth. Now I know that no teeth can be attributed to Deltadromeus as no cranial material has been found yet and I know that most teeth sold as Deltadromeus are in fact Abelisaurid teeth but this tooth seems way to curved to be Abelisaurid which could my eye instantly. So I was think if this might be a Dromaeosaurid tooth which while rare (and not yet officially described from Kem Kem) are somethings found and sold as Deltadromeus. Or might this be a small anterior tooth of a Carcharodontosaurid, I would appreciate your thoughts and imput on this tooth before I commit to buy. These are currently the only pictures I have, I am not sure if they suffice to give a proper ID whether these are Dromaeosaurid or Carcharodontosaurid, so I also asked the seller for some photos of the base of the tooth and if possible some close ups of the serrations. hi, the tooth in question was found in the Kem Kem basin. the dealer sold it to me under the name Deltadromeus agilis. after looking at it, I am more of the opinion that it is a Carcharodontosaurus tooth. what do you all mean? (measures 5 cm) best regards

I saw this specimen for sale seller labeled it as Deltadromeus sp. limb & rib bone Kem Kem Basin ,South Taouz, Baharija Firmation would love to here your opinion on these specimen identification . thx.

Hi there Amateur Dinobot again, with the self isolation, I had some time to look back at a couple of my purchases. They were bought a couple years ago on a popular auction site. The sellers did not have a lot of reviews so it felt like a bit of a gamble. The first on I was told was a deltadromeus partial jaw and was found in Norther Africa in 2015. The other I was told was an Ankylosaurus scute. I dont recall if the seller provided any further detail but he is no longer selling items. Thanks for the input! Wasnt sure if they were identified correctly or not deltadromeus deltadrom

Hello, I bought this small tooth for 65€. It is labeled as Deltadromeus agilis but since a skull is still unknown i doubt this. I still bought it cause it is well preserved and the serrated edges are beautiful. I would label it "abelisaurid spec. indet." Or maybe a juvenile carcharodontosaurid? I'm curios for opinions.

I've been looking at this tooth which is labeled as Deltadromeus agilis from the Kem Kem Basin by the seller. I know labeling teeth as Deltadromeus is iffy due to the lack of skull material, so does anyone have an idea of a possible classification for it? I've tried looking at Troodon's Kem Kem theropod teeth guide but haven't managed to make an ID. Any help would be appreciated!

Large Kem Kem Theropod Tooth That Doesn't Look Like A Typical Carcharodontosaurus

I just got this strange tooth that's almost 3.5" long that I assumed it came from a Cacharodontosaurus. But upon closer inspection when I got it the shape of the tooth doesn't look flattened nor blade-like but seem to be very bulky unlike typical Carch teeth I have seen. So I was wondering if this is a special positional tooth that doesn't fit the standard shape of normal Carch tooth? It's also slightly bent and twisted as well, not sure if that's natural or some form of pathology. The previous owner thought it's a Deltadromeus tooth but that doesn't seem likely since Deltadromeus teeth (or those theropod teeth attributed as) shouldn't be this big, but I could be wrong. What's are you guys opinions on this?

Delta, Dromie and Carch are some of the most commonly offered by dealers and collected by many enthusiasts, but I am surprised to find that little has been written about how do you really distinguish these three teeth from one another, especially when they are in small size - in this case I am refering to 1" and below size where the 3 of them look very similar to the untrained eyes. This is especially even more complicated when it comes to Deltadromeus agillis tooth which from what I gathered, shouldn't really technically be accepted to really exist, and should be ideally labeled loosely as Moroccan theropod, yet they are very common in the collectors market, but when asking how can you really tell if they are not Moroccan dromaeosaur tooth or simply a young Carcharodontosaurus tooth, nobody seem to be able to conclusively tell. The reason I am creating this post asking this question is because I just acquired a couple of new small Moroccan teeth that although have been labeled as Deltadromeus, but I can't be certain if they are really Dromaeosaur or young Carch teeth: Specimen A: Specimen B: Any theropod experts here could give insight into how to identify and differentiate these troublesome teeth would be appreciated and I think many new collectors and enthusiasts of Moroccan dinosauria would find such insights and knowledge very useful. Difference Between Deltadromeus & Carcharodontosaurus Teeth

I have been seeing Delta teeth floating around the net lately and was wondering how you teeth experts can tell the difference or unique features that separate one from another since most of them to my eyes, they look almost the same. With Delta teeth of size smaller than 1.5" I can kinda see it tend to be flat and blade-like like Dromaeosaur's teeth and you probably may be more likely to get them confused with Raptor's teeth more so than Carch teeth which from my observation, the smaller teeth seem to look bulkier and a little stout in shape. However when it comes to Delta teeth of 2" and bigger I see very little difference from a Carch tooth of similar size so how do you tell the difference? And correct me if I am wrong, but it seems like a Delta teeth of 2" and above seem to be a rarity from my experience but in reality are Delta teeth more costly than a Carch tooth of comparable size and quality? Since it seems to be a rarer specimen I would assume the answer should be yes, but I can't be sure.
