Found on a gravel bar in NJ Cretaceous stream. Doesn't appear to have a root hole for a tooth. Its tapered like a claw would be, but I don't really have a good picture showing that. Any idea what it could be and from what?

Hi, I brought this bone from the Bathonian of Oxfordshire. I suspected it was crocodile or dinosaur. It would be nice to hear some opinions on this specimen.

What are the round nodules on this piece of fossilized bone? I suspect there is some lichen on the top of bone on photo 2. These run in size from 1mm to 5mm. Any ideas?

Genuine theropod dinosaur egg?
MohammadAAK posted a topic in Is It Real? How to Recognize Fossil Fabrications
Hello all, I saw one seller online listing this piece for auction. I'm interested in bidding but the fact the seller is from Taiwan worries me. Other than that, the egg looks nice. Seller says it might be a small tyrannosaurus or large therapod egg. Locality is noted as "East Asia", which I assume is china. And the description says this is from an old Chinese collection exported in the 80s. Cretaceous of East Asia. Best wishes -

I know its highly unlikely but the more I look at this the more I'm convinced it's a fossilised skull. It seems to have a clear line where mouth should be and it's very symmetrical. Any help with identification (or refution) would be greatly appreciated.

Hi All, I have a question for those of you out there who know more about dinosaurs than I do. I recently picked up a grallator track that's about 5" long from Massachusetts. I'm thinking it would be cool to display this along with a tooth or two from a similar dinosaur. Obviously we don't know what species of dinosaur made the track, but does anyone know roughly what type/size of tooth I should try to find that would be a reasonable match for the type of dinosaur that likely would have made the track? While we're at it, I'd also be curious to know what size gastrol

Last Week-end I went in the area of Aix en Provence in South of France. i wanted to find some clues of dinosaur eggs for further digging next spring. I wealked in the red badlands of the region, with nice sun and landscapes. I finally found eggshells fragments, coming from destroyed eggs because of the rain. I also spotted a few eggs in section. Enjoy the pictures ! CAN YOU SPOT THE SHELLS ? HALF EGG ABOUT 20 CM IN THE STONE

The Advanced Dinosaur Egg Guide Please share this with those who have egg questions. When possible, technical terms were avoided or defined. Every effort has been made to ensure accuracy, but it is always important to do your own research. This guide is merely a snapshot of information taken from many scientific publications. I am not an expert on eggs, rather I just love sharing what little I have learned over the years, what science has learned over the years. For an overview on how to spot a fossilized dinosaur egg and the sizes of eggs, see the basic guide:

Hi all I came across this for sale on the favourite auction site. It is listed as a claw from the UK but to me it looks like a standard rock in a slight shape resemblance. Im not planning on buying but keen to know others opinions and it hopefully will stop someone making a costly error

Hi all, this rock has been in the yard since the 50's at grandmas house. It was originally found in the Grand Canyon around that time on a trip. I'm no archeologist so I'm here for expert opinions as this rock looks very different to me( egg like ). It's about 5x7" and weighs about 8lbs. I have held on to it over the years just because it looks so peculiar to me. Thanks for your time or sorry for wasting it.

Good morning from La Rioja, Spain. I have been doing a lot of digging in an old house in Cornago, La Rioja and found what I believe could be a Dino egg. The area is very well known for dinosaur fossils and remains. Could someone help me to determine if it is a stone or a Dino egg, please? Gracias!!!!

Hey guys, Hello I am from Germany. That's why I apologize for my bad English. This tooth (top right in the picture) I have recently screaked from the US. The tooth comes from the Hell Creek Formation (Wyoming). It was sold as a "Raptor" tooth. He is about 7mm (0,28") long. I´m not sure, to which dinosaur the tooth belongs, thats why I asked my question in this forum. I hope, that you can help me! Thank you in advance and kind regards!
