Film on the meteor-strike that killed the dinosaurs
pachy-pleuro-whatnot-odon posted a topic in Questions & Answers
Hi everyone, Last year we visited a dinosaur show (I believe something like "DinoExpo") in our area in the Alsace (France), where they screened a film about the meteor-strike that killed the dinosaurs. It was spoken in French (though could of course have been voiced-over) and I hadn't seen it before. However, my wife, who normally isn't overly interested in anything dinosaur liked it a lot, to the extent of asking me afterwards whether I could find it so she could finish watching it. As I don't know where to start on it, I thought I'd ask here... So, the documentary's most defining features I remember: 1. It's a 3D animation 2. The topic is the timeline of the impact of the meteor that killed the dinosaurs 3. This timeline is used to explain events that occurred around the world immediately prior and immediately following the impact on an hour by hour pace 4. There seemed to be a greater emphasis on Mongolian dinosaurs than most documentaries I've seen Any pointers in the right direction would be greatly appreciated! -
Last night I was flipping through Amazon Prime and found a Dinosaur documentary that I had not seen yet... https://www.amazon.com/Dinosaurs-Francesco-Invernizzi/dp/B07V3X6L14 ...part way through I recognized one of the paleontologists as our very own, @jpc! I love a good Dinosaur flick and this one was worth watching...enjoy.

Underrated/Lesser Known Fossil Documentaries Recommendations?
Kurufossils posted a topic in Questions & Answers
Not sure if there is already a post answering this question here, but I'm on the lookout for any recommendations for some of the more underrated and lesser known fossil documentaries that can be found out there besides the Walking With Dinosauresque well known types. Maybe any posts on here can also help others explore some more obscure and interesting documentary titles to watch. -
For the last year I have been working on the first part of my 3D animated documentary series about prehistoric Earth. The first episode will take you to Hadean eon 4.6 - 4 billion years ago and tell about the formation of our planet, moon, emergence of water and, finally the first life. The full documentary is pretty much done and is being edited at the moment (voice over, sound effects, etc.). Finally, here is the trailer for Part 1 (everything is CGI and done by me). Not sure yet about distribution methods. Anyways, here is the teaser:
