Recently just got back from a trip on Tybee Island! During this trip I went out looking for shark teeth several times a day, and even did a tour with Sundial Charters! Overall in 6 days I found over 150 shark teeth and countless other fossils! I'll be posting them on here! Here's the coolest tooth I found actually on Tybee, I believe it's a Great Hammerhead.

From the album: Gainesville Florida Microscopic Miocene
These are fish teeth which are similar to the Drum (Pogonias sp) but have some differences. The crown tends to be less black and shiny and the roots are different (tapered and striated). I'm just not sure if this is variation within the Drum tooth set or a different type of fish. If anyone has seen this particular morphology in a drum or other fish, let me know.-

Edit: I've re-uploaded photos since Don made me aware that they were not showing up. I am able to view the photos from my laptop (a chrome book) and my cell (google pixel). Hopefully re-uploading will have resolved the problem. Hi all, Took a trip to NJ searching a cretaceous stream recently. Have to give a shout out and "thank you" to my new friend Tyler, whom upon stumbling upon me bumbling about in the stream, showed me the "good spot" where I can find better finds. Together, we found plenty of goblin teeth, crow teeth, shrimp parts, and myself, some nice pycnodont (Anomaeodus phaseolus) crushers. I'm sharing my best find of the day, a partial pycnodont plate. Also sharing some weird looking mineral I found just in case anyone has any input. I.D. reference: http://www.njfossils.net/drum.html - Steve

Hey all. I'm wondering if this fossil I found at Green Mill Run, NC is a crocodilian scute or the dental plate of a drumfish as I believe either can be found at this location.
