  1. When someone gets a second could you help me id these? They are cretaceous. Paper plate for scale. The flip side: Thanks for having a look!
  2. Size is Approx. 1.5" x 1" and is from the Eagle Ford formation in Texas.
  3. First I thought fish, then crustacean and now I'm just not sure. Here is a link to an album with more pictures: http://imgur.com/a/3Art6 Thanks so much for having a look!
  4. The photos were too big so I had to make an album, sorry! http://imgur.com/a/oOw9Z

Id Help Needed. Vert Or Rock?

Apologize for the fingers in the shot. A friend suggested organic, but the flat circular section on the bottom along with the distant grooves around it suggest otherwise. Thanks for looking! Scientific Name: Unknown Found: North Central Texas Date Found: Spring 2014 Formation: Alluvium Qt / Eagle Ford Size: 1"

    This One Has Me Stumped.

Maybe this one will be obvious to y'all, but the tiny pattern on it throws me off. I thought at first petrified wood, or maybe a fish fin fragment (I have found both at this site before) but when I cropped the photo I noticed that tiny pattern and thought maybe coral could look like that. Any ideas? Thanks for having a look! 1.5" x 2.5" and about a half inch thick. Cretaceous Eagle Ford.
  7. As always, thanks for any help! This is very small, about 1/2 inch in size. Cenomanian. Eagle Ford. North Texas.
  8. Cretaceous, Eagle Ford, Cenomanian. Thanks for having a look

    Baculite Or Something Else?

When I first picked this up I thought it was a worn bacculite fragment but on closer inspection it seems to taper very slightly in the middle, which would be unusual. The rock it is in is Approx. 3" x 2.5" and the part in question is about 2" long and .25" to .50" wide.

    Id Help Needed. Boring Clams?

Could these holes be from clams or organic weathering? Found in the Eagle Ford, North Texas. Thanks!
  11. I can't figure out what this is and was wondering if anyone had any ideas? http://imgur.com/a/axUAQ For some reason I was unable to upload pictures so I had to make an album, sorry.
  12. Could someone help me determine which of the below is bone and which is not? They all seem bone like to me, but preserved differently. Or am I just seeing things? Cretaceous, Eagle Ford.
  13. I am completely unfamiliar with bone material (except fish bones) and was wondering if someone could tell me if that's what I have here or if it's just a rock. This piece is Approx. 2.5" x 1.5". Cretaceous, Eagle Ford. Thanks, guys.
  14. This carapace is slightly smaller than the size of a dime. I always check MB's page first, which is a wonderful resource, but I'm just not sure about this one. Cretaceous, cenomanian, eagle ford, britton. I also found these claws in the same general area: As always, thanks for any help, I appreciate it. Claire
  15. This is from the Eagle Ford Formation in Texas and is Approx. 3". Some sort of sponge maybe?
  16. This is from the Cretaceous Eagle Ford formation in Texas. It's Approx. 4" x 2" Top Thank you!
  17. http://imgur.com/a/SFA72 This is from the Britton member of the Eagle Ford formation in Texas and is Approx 1.5 inches.
  18. This is from the Eagle Ford formation in North Texas and is just under an inch in size. It's missing the tip, but the enamel is absolutely beautiful. When someone has a moment, could you please confirm this ID or tell me what it actually is if I'm mistaken? Thanks!

    Is This A Coprolite?

This is Approx. 1 inch in size.
  20. Cretaceous, Eagle Ford. I'm curious because to me, it's very similar to the imprint on the crab carapace found in the same area on the same day:

    Found A Little Crab Today

I checked out MB's page and think this is cenomanocarcinus vanstraeleni, but not 100% sure. The top is a little worse for wear and could use some cleaning, but the flip side looks awesome. Can anyone confirm this ID? This is from the Eagle Ford Formation in Texas. Cretaceous. The crab is Approx. 2" wide.
  22. Maybe y'all can help me with this one, too. This one is larger, about 8" x 10" and 5" thick. It makes me think of a fossilized infilled burrow in the matrix with associated crab? Shrimp? Material. But I could be completely off the mark. Any thoughts? A close up: Had to make an album as the files were too large to upload: http://imgur.com/a/SstBG

    Is This A Tooth?

Can any of you tell if this is a tooth, or just something else that has broken into the shape of one? The entire piece is about 4 inches, and the "tooth" is about .5 inches or so. If it is a tooth, any ideas on what it may be from? Thanks, guys
