I found this bone in a creek in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. I have asked some hunters and farmers what it could be but nobody seems to know. It appears old but modern. There looks to be a suture mark or perhaps an old fracture or some pathology. I would appreciate any insight into what bone this may be. Or where I might look to find something to compare? Thank you.

Hi All, First post for me. Excited to participate! I have recently taken up fossil hunting in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada's river valley creek beds. I have found several fossilized bone fragments, petrified wood fragments and even a few first nations artifacts. All of these have been found on small creek bed shelves during low water. The geological time period is mesozoic. The first object I would appreciate any feedback on is an irregularly textured flat rock or potentially a fossil of some kind. It was found loose on the surface next to the water. It has an interesting varied texture which differs on both sides. It doesn't seem to present the kind of regular pattern that would indicate a shell or skin, but there appears to be some degree of regularity or patterning. It kind of looks like a piece of beef jerky. At first I thought it might be from dried mud cracks but the patterning does not reflect this. Any thoughts on this would be appreciated.

Found these in Edmonton in a creek below a coal seam. Unsure if this was actually the KT line. I know Edmontosaur specimens have been found nearby. Any information would be helpful, thank you!

Hello, everyone. I am new to this site, and like everyone here I am fascinated with anything old that comes from the ground. I have discovered a location of the banks of the river that has more bones than I know what to do with, I dont know how old, what it is (mammoth, dinosaur, deer?) but, they are petrified, heavy and lots of some crystal formations. Any help in identification would be helpful. I can go to this spot and carry out 60-100 pounds of bone every visit. Well maybe not now as the ground is covered in snow lol. Please, please see my other posts.

So I have posted some of the amazing petrified bones I have found from a special excavation site. I do not know what dinosaur it is, but it is huge. These were found off of a riverbank, in Edmonton Alberta and I have hundreds from the same site. I believe one picture is of a horn? Maybe another is vertebrate from a back? Any input please. Here is 2 more
