Found this stone awhile back, very smooth and round, and perfectly shaped like an egg! I live in the Thumb of Michigan, and found this in the rocks by some shrubs. All the other rocks were definitely not like this. Any ideas what it actually could be?

Hi all! Im a newbie but have always enjoyed the outdoors and collecting anything naturistic from feathers to artifacts. I do not have much knowledge of geology unfortunately. This was collected about 2.5 miles from my house in the foot hills of the appalachians. It is so humid here, that I would be surprised if much relating to fossils would survive for very long being exposed. None the less, I am curious as to what everyone's opinion of this neato looking rock is. It has this strange white coating on it...I took the best photos possible with the phone that I have.

Hi, it's been so long since I have been on the forum. I found something yesterday that isn't necessarily a fossil. Like I said, it has been too long, the last time the forum looked a little different and there was a section for rock classification. If I have done this incorrectly, please forgive me in advance. I just think this rock is very unusual. The color is sort of chalky white and it is very heavy. There are lots of crystal type sparkly things that I don't think I can capture with my camera. I don't think it is a geode because it seems like the wrong color. Thanks so much.

Hello everyone here at the fossil forum, i wonder if you can help me with the identification of a kind of "rock " that looks like an egg. Is it possible to be a fossilized egg? i found it in near a place that is known of fossils. It has a width of about 3 cm and height of 3,5 cm.
