    Triassic Shale Skull

Red shale by flat run creek. Is it a skull? If so any help identifying appreciated.
  2. New pieces of same rock (new pics as well). ..These 2 rocks are part of the same rock posted before. We split new layers, and found what looks like a branch or leaf to the untrained eye. Any ideas for me to tell my kid who wants to start a museum Thank you. My 6 year old son found a strange large rock with a mid section of discoloration. The top of the rock seemed like limestone and the bottom something else. We split it open and he found this. The rocks were probably imported to support the local stream bed in Emmitsburg, MD. They look like worms, or roots in a rock. Any ideas?

    Emmitsburg Rock or Fossils

Found these in local creek whose source is the local Emmitsburg MD. One was encased in sandstone. The other in some other more grainy stone. If you look close, the grayish one has tiny bumps uniformly along the side. I may have scraped some too much. Any ideas on if these are fossils?
  4. 1st shot at separating red shale in Emmitsburg. I would be grateful if anyone can tell me what, if anything, maybe seen. I see many things and yet nothing. I apologize for poor quality. It is best I can get under 3.95MB. Thank you.
