Well, we've had Brachiopods and Trilobites, so I figured let's give fish a try! I am going to start this off with my Enchodus marchesettii from the Hakel Quarry of Lebanon. Not only is this fossil 100% complete with the only restoration done was repairing the matrix itself, but I received this from one of my good friends on none other than my birthday! This is my favorite fossil in my ENTIRE collection! More will come from the Greenriver side of my collection, I just gotta get my camera fixed

Found what I believe is a Enchodus Fish tooth? Can anyone help identify or confirm. Has enamel and bone still attached. Was found in New Jersey, Cretaceous period.

My 18th trip to Big Brook this morning. Trying to get to other spots not just the same honey holes. Explored the Kovalski tributary today. A lot of downed trees to climb over or under. Unfortunately not very productive. My most interesting finds were a couple of broken bottles; one Hunyadi Janos Saxlehner Bitterquelle circa 1900 and the other the bottom of what looks like a wine bottle but very thick and clearly not made in a modern bottle factory. My most plentiful finds were the garbage - metal, plastic and mostly glass - which I pick up and carry out. I’ll be back next week and already psyched to go

Hello all another Saturday morning in Big Brook. Explored the Kovalski tributary which was not very productive. I did find a couple of old broken bottles that I posted about it “trips”. I did find this tooth, 1 1/8 inches which I believe is Enchodus and if not then other fish, not shark. Thank you for your expertise as always

I'm fairly certain this is an Enchodus tooth, please correct me if I am wrong. Found this beauty scanning a gravel bar with majority of black rocks, it stood out shimmering in the water. I'm really astounded by how defined the cutting edge still is on this. I seriously comes to a pin point that is just as sharp.

Good morning a Big Brook find measuring 1 inch long. Bigger and thicker than the enchodus teeth I’ve found. Two edges but no serrations. Thank you four your help

Hi all, about two months ago I asked about ramenessin or big brook being better. Here are my finds from about six two hour hunts at ramenessin brook, and searching gravel I took home, it’s more fun searching there but bringing some home and searching through it is better than not looking at all. The best finds are a couple of 1-1.5 inch shark teeth, a small croc tooth, a rat fish jaw, a small shark vert, a very water worn sawfish tooth, a burrow with invert fecal pellets, two ammonite fragments, shell casts, a small shark tooth I believe is a nice angel shark tooth, a drum fish tooth, an Enchodus tooth with jaw attached, and some shark teeth with really nice colors! If anyone could confirm the angel shark tooth is really an angel shark tooth @The Jersey Devil @Trevor @hokietech96 @frankh8147 @Darktoothit would be greatly appreciated!

I found less stuff than last time, but I found a nice centrum and a shard of a mosasaur tooth. A couple teeth grouped with Scapanorynchus may be Serratolamna sp. -

I have a number of Lee Creek teeth that can't be identified any closer than Unknown Fish Tooth. This one may end up in the same "drawer" but I hope it's characteristic enough for someone to point me in the right direction. The tooth is basically round, but it transitions into a well defined spear shape at the tip. It's very distinct, but not sure it shows well in the pix. Although it's rather small, current thinking is maybe Enchodus sp. ? Scale is 1mm. Appreciate you looking and welcome comments.

I've always been fascinated by the Cretaceous sea and its myriad of terrifying carnivores, many that would've made Jaws look meek. After watching BBC's Sea Monsters, I made it my goal to compile a box of sea monster fossils. I started this journey 10 years ago, and finally completed the box recently. Allow me to present my Predators of the Cretaceous Sea collection, and take you on a journey to the most dangerous sea of all times. The box measures 20.25 inches long. I ordered 3 Mosasaurus teeth, 1 Crow shark tooth and 1 Enchodus tooth. Do they seem real? And do they have any signs of restoration?

Enchodus ferox (Agassiz 1835) tooth. I believe this specimen to be an E. ferox, but I am unsure on my ID. -

Hello everyone! This was an enchodus jaw specimen I came across online. It looks real to me, but I have seen very few for sale and have had a poor previous experience buying a fossil online. The specimen is only listed as being "from Africa" so I assume Morocco. Please let me know what you think!
