    Going to a fossil expo

I'm going to a fossil expo in Sweden. I will buy mainly stuff from morocco, Lebanon, Madagascar and so on. But how do i notice and avoid fakes, Restorations and repair? Im fine with a fossil being repaired as many of the fossils from Morocco are repaired. I will mostly buy from a dealer that i have bought from many times, And hes a well known dealer. I have no worries from him as all i have bought has no fakes or restorations. But there will be other dealers that have fossils im looking for that the dealer i usually buy from does not have. And how do i know if a dealer is overpricing me also? Thanks for the tips in advance
  2. Hi everyone, Im looking at a bunch of stuff that someone got from the big fossil expo this month, but I want to be sure of what is what before I do anything. There's a few things way beyond what I could potentially get, but I'm just curious about in general. These are all Moroccan, and most, if not all, are Kem Kem. are these first 4 pics spinosaur? With the teeth I know the 2 on the top&left are probably carchar teeth, but I'm wondering about the other 2. In the 2nd picture, I'm guessing the right one is a spinosaur vert, right? What about the other one? I'm sure it would probably be very hard to tell with just a single rib, but could the rib be spinosaurus? It seems to match some museum spino skeleton ribs, but that's the best I can figure out:/
  3. Looks like there is a small fossil expo next weekend Nov 17 - 18 in Northern VA GMU Fairfax / The HUB, 4400 University Drive, Fairfax, Virginia 22030 I think there are only 20 tables or so, still if I can find the time I might go. It may be the same one that was in CT early this month, but I did not see it marked on the calendar for VA next week on this site. The video on you tube looked pretty good, but not sure of the prices on the fossils. I did not see how I could add to the calendar though.
  4. The 2017 Mid America Paleontology Society (M.A.P.S.) is being held this weekend at the Sharpless Auctions Facility in Iowa City (I-80 Exit 249), Iowa and the Pre/After show is being held at the Clarion Hotel, also in Iowa City (I-80 Exit 246). I know people like pictures, so I took a number of pictures for everyone to enjoy.
