3. Up for sale on everyone's favorite auction website is the following while it doesn't look fake I am very cautious about buying anything from the site when it comes to fossil remains. I'm guessing the usual suspects troodon and lordtrilobite can help me

Hell Creek - Femur head??

Also in the Hell Creek Formation in Montana, we found this interesting bone. It was in two large pieces, and then I later attached two smaller pieces to it. I had shown it to another paleontologist (before it was cleaned and glued together), and he suggested maybe mandible end, or another condyle. To me, it has a femur like quality..... Any suggestions as to what this is, and what it might be from? I'm leaning towards triceratops, based on odds.....

White River Femur

Hello FF This is a a recent find from private land near Lusk Wyoming. Lots of Oreodonts and turtles in the area. I think it is a distal femor. I think. The shaft feels too thin for the heft of the epiphyseal end. A condyle is broken off on one side. The patellar groove(if I am right about it being a femur) seems so much on the end of bone rather than rolling around from the cranial aspect like I expect with mammals. Thoughts

Fossil or... ? Found in Colorado Springs

11. Hi wonder if anyone can shed any light on what if anything these could be please? Found in September at Walton on the Naze in Essex, England. We spent the afternoon walking along the London Clay cliffs. Lots of fossilised wood and branches but we also found something that resembles a hip bone?? I've attempted some shots with the phone of our finds

fossilised femur ID help

hello, my son found this fossil in the woods in central england (UK). i gather it was near a burrow so it had probably been dug up by an animal from underneath the topsoil. i can go as far as guessing it was probably a femur head.. could anyone help with ID please? the smaller pebble came from the same place, so perhaps the same animal. many thanks!
13. Just curious what the general consensus is here for adding color back into specimens that have been faded out. Some of the most common ideas I have heard is furniture polish. I have a hard time believing that there is no company out there that has specific materials for this. I would think that a company like Paleo BOND would have some sort of color products fro people to use. Any help and suggestions would be much appreciated. Sincerely, J

Femur Fossil... What Is It?

I need help identifying a femur fossil I found yesterday in a stream in central Florida. ">http:// ">http:// ">http:// ">http://
15. Hi, when i'm walking around a traditional market i found someone sell this petrified bone and bought it home. What makes me curious is this petrified bone looks like a femur with the marrow part is crystalized. What i want to ask is that what bone is it? Human or Animal? and what is that crystalized structure? is that an agate (agatized)? the dimension of this bone is about 14 cm length, 9 cm wide, 6,5 cm shaft wide, and 2,5 cm for the marrow diameters. The distal end of the femur is very wide at the epicondyle which means that this bone could still be human. If not, then it is probably bovine (water buffalo) or something similar. for further information, the seller said that they found this bone in Pacitan, Central java, Indonesia (you can google about this place infformation) a large karst area. Here are some pics :
