Do you guys think this is real or fake. I'm assuming fake, but thought I would post to see if you would be willing to give any insight. Apparently it was found in the Kem Kem Basin, Morocco, Africa.

I believe i have found a fossilized toe/finger, you can see in the cross section of what looks to be exactly what you'd expect if you cut a finger off.. You can see the meat of the finger with the bone in the center but you can also see the density/thickness of the bone as well as the bone marrow.. We found it in the Willamette River years ago and thought it was quartz or something until a friend pointed out the resemblance of a finger.. What do you guys think?

Hey all. I recently came back from visiting my mamaw in corbin ky. I stopped at a vendors market and bought a random bag marked jewelry Making. This was random junk thrown in a ziplock. This booth was very vintage and antique with a lot of random and strange things. Sooo question is what in the world is this. Not sure if my mind is messing with me but I can't seem to hold it without feeling weird haha. So feels petrified or rock like but shapped like my stubby finger... I don't know much about this stuff so I figured I would find a forum to tell me if it's rock, finger, or even animal drops

Hi Is the id on this as been fossilised Oviraptor finger/digits accurate? Ignore the text "claw" its mistranslation from the collector--supplier clarified it as been finger bones. It is 6cm long. Ganzhou, Nanxiong Formation. Unfortunately, seller is away for a few days, so I may struggle to get more info. This photo was in the recent batcg he sent. I know it may be difficult to get an id with this. It seems small at 6 cm for Ovi too, im wondering if juvie, or a smaller species.

I found this fossil on our ranch near Plush Oregon a few weeks ago. It is the 2nd complete bone fossil I have ever found. The first was allegedly a camel cannon bone. I would like to make a post on it later but this one really grabs my attention. The length is 1 3/8" (34.925 mm) and the larger width is 1/2" (12.7 mm) and the smaller width is 3/8" (9.525 mm). I found it in a small dry alkaline lakebed. I have found fragments from there for a long time. People just call them camel bones but there has never been anything identifiable. The last picture is of the fragments you usually find. I found this right before sunset about 3/4's of the way up the old dune that makes up the north edge of the small dry lake. The geological map I got off of the app rockd says it is in a quaternary surficial deposit; pluvial lake valley deposits. 2.588-0ma. I have a friend who knows a little about fossils and he thought it might be a toe bone off of a Mesohippus. I was wondering if anybody has any other guesses? I dont know much about fossils but I am trying to learn! Any thoughts would be welcomed. Thank you

Greetings, dear forum participants. I would like to welcome everyone to discuss a sample of Baltic amber with a possible animal fingerprint. Place of origin Baltic Sea coast. The age of the find is unknown. Areas highlighted in the photo, presumably the animal's fingerprints. Between the possible prints there is an imprinted structure, presumably animal fur. In addition to photographs, I made a video showing how I remove a sample form from amber. ***Translation from Russian using google translator.

I found this half of a phalanx bone in the upper Dinosaur Park Formation. I’m wondering whether it belongs to a turtle or a small theropod. Would any of you guys know what it is? Thanks!

Hello everyone, Does anyone know what it could be? ... is this Geologic or fossilized?, if it’s fossilized, what did it come from? And if so would it be a finger, or toe bone ? Found in the country of Mexico, specifically in the state of Guerrero, in a limestone mountain near some volcanic area or with tectonic plate activity, because there is quartz in the surroundings. I have never come across anything like this and around the discovery there are some pieces like these with some similar characteristics Thank you!!

This was found on the Jersey Shore - a beach on the western Atlantic. I unfortunately don't have a scale, but it measures 3 inches x 4 inches (7.6 cm x 10.2 cm). Any idea what it is?

Fossil that looks like a finger, found in Puerto Rican beach site

So the beach was recently excavated and what was covered by the ocean for so many years, dried out and the sand was excavated and made into huge dunes full of old seashells and mysterious oysters and conches. I found many bivalves and i stumbled upon this weird stone that is covered in fossil like formations and shells. Any idea what it could be? Is it a fossil? Is it extinct? Its driving me NUTS.

Is this a spinosaurus phalanx? I believe it's supposed to be a finger, not a toe. Ive done a lot of comparing, and it just doesn't look right, although it's from a source that I trust, and am believe that most of their ID'd stuff is correct, although I believe I've seen a few(very small %)that have been incorrect, over time. I believe it could be a slightly mishappen phalanx, specifically the base/back/end closest to the hand itself. *kem kem

Correct me if I'm wrong, but this is definitely not the end of a digit from a large carnivorous theropod. The only potentials from the Morrison formation where it was found, would be different species of ceratasaurs, allosaurs, and torvosaurus, right? and they, along with most carnivorous theropods have claws at the end of every digit, including the little foot&heel stubbies, don't they? wouldnt this have to be from something without claws? Or at least no claw on this?

Hi everyone, I was given this fossil from a friend. It came out if a collection that was given to him by a friend. I'm assuming it is a form of sea life as there were other shell fossils with it. If you hold it up to a flashlight the light passes through it and illuminates it. My friend does not know anything about it. Can u please help me identify it? Thank you!

While I was browsing for some fossils on eBay, this one caught my eye. The seller described it as a "fossilized human finger". Probably not a finger, is it a concretion? Hopefully, nobody gets tricked into buying it, skin is rarely ever fossilized. Otherwise, it'd be bone.

Hello, First off this is my first post so please be gentle. My name is Jason and roughly 20 years ago my parents were having a home built in southern ohio. I was 11 or 12 at the time and enjoyed looking at rocks and picking up ones that caught my eye. The land our home was built on was wooded and required extensive grading and shifting of dirt, a partial basement was dug and that dirt was spread around the property. My father had enlisted me to pick up larger rocks that wouldn't settle into the ground and discard them. So I'm walking along and I see an oddly shaped rock in the dirt, this is what i found. I've kept this for 20 years and have always wondered if it really is a finger. Any and all information will be greatly appreciated !! 1: top view straight down 2: up close 3: up close
