Found today what looks like a fossil in a large rock up in rochdale at the lake. The rock has been uncovered by the drought. It's a large print bigger than a mans hand and looks to have three toes with claws. Further over to the edge if the rock is another print with claw.

My father pointed this possible trackway on a sandstone paving stone on his front walk. I don't know the source of the rock. It looks clearer in person than on the images. There are several possible tracks in sequence- I took a picture of the only one that looks mostly complete (last image, with quarter). Other pavers in the path have odd marks that look sort of like drag marks from vegetation, bubbles, or worm or crab tracks. (not pictured on this post). What do you all think?

This is my first post on these forums and for transparency I want you guys to know that I know almost nothing about fossils. It's just been an interest of mine and my son shares the same interest so we decided to go digging. This was found in Ilion NY (central NY) near a creek bed with exposed shale stone. Pretty sure it's a footprint of a small mammal but I can't say for sure. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance, your help is very much appreciated.

I bought this fossil the other day, a Pennsylvanian amphibian or reptile print from Alabama (Carbon Hill). I have a fern fossil from the same site. I'm going to try and mount it to my wall if possible. Maybe put a wood backing with silicone glue, as it is fairly thin.

Hi everyone! This print is found on a concretion--no idea how old, or where it originated from; it was purchased in a specialty shop in Sedona AZ many years ago. It wasn't until just recently I noticed what appears to be a footprint w/4 digits; sharp claws. almost looks like maybe the outer surface might have flowed a bit over the print (?) What do you think? Am I just seeing circus animals in the clouds? I keep trying to upload images that really show the details, but keep getting bumped, even though I'm below the 3.95 MB.

Hi all, Want to share something I saw on a creek bank. Are these foot prints or just natural formations? I think the bottom part is Austin Chalk, the darker, sandier top is Ozan? Which where "foot prints" were found.

Here are all my unknowns from the past few months of collecting and snapping pics before joining the forum. Some are weathered, but any help identifying is greatly appreciated The first two are glen rose formation dino prints about 16 inches from heel to to toe. The third is a nautilus (eutrepoceras?) from central san antonio i extracted from a soft limestone boulder. Its about 9 inches across and the lower of the three well-defined sutures i think is eroded into a deeper curve than it would have originally had.
