I was searching along a rocky creek in an area of Fort Worth, Texas (lower cretaceous) where the Goodland Formation, Kiamichi Formation, Walnut Clay, and Fort Worth Limestone all meet, and was finding echinoids, ammonites, and various mollusk shells, when I found this. I've never found any vertebrate fossils before, but it looks a lot like the end of a bone at a joint. It's got near perfect symmetry, and had a slightly lighter colored and more bumpy texture on the broken parts. I would like to know if I have in fact found a fossil bone, and if so, any ideas for what it belonged to?

I found these shoe shaped bivalves on highway roadcut near Justin, Tx. I think I've seen these before, but forgot the name though. Can anybody put a name to these bivalves? They were found on limestore layer above the grey clay layer. Fort Worth Limestone and Duck Creek Formation undivided. They measure around 6 1/2 inches by 3 1/2 inches/15.24cm x 8.89 cm.

Found these embedded in limestone on a creek bank. According to USGS map this area belongs to Fort Worth limestone and Duck Creek Formation undivided. Any idea what these might be? If they aren't in the same rock layer where ammonites are found, I would probably mistaken them for modern day shell. Is it possible for fossils to keep it's color pattern when they are fossilized?

Found these in an area just south of the red river, and east of I-35 in Cooke Co., TX. Looks like Weno formation falling to the Fort Worth Limestone. Lots of Mortoniceras ammonites, and many urchin fossils, but I need help to identify this. The rock is very thin layered, about 1/32 of an inch for each layer and in each layer these formations appear different. These fossils are about 2 to 3 inches long each.... Thanks in advance for any help in identifying these.....
