Hey! Wanted some outside input on what these teeth could be- the first four photos are my attempts at identifying them but more opinions would be greatly appreciated, as I'm still learning. Especially for the splotchy off-white tooth. All of these were found in 2016 in the W. M. Browning Cretaceous Fossil Park. Many thanks!

I recently found a fossil in my backyard and I’m not sure what it could be. I live in a place where the bedrock dates back to the Devonian. Hopefully this will be the only fossil id that I’ll ever do. Front Back Left Right Top Bottom If you notice in the front, top, and right images, there is a brachiopod mold, which means the fossil was either from the shoreline or from underwater. I also think that, at this point, the fossil comes from the lower Devonian.

Fossil ID Help Pls— Found in Wilson County, TX (CIBILO CREEK)
MyGodMagma posted a topic in Fossil ID
Trying to help a friend ID this find from Cibilo Creek in Wilson County, Texas; as It appears to be not-coral and bigger than a US quarter, it is automatically far (FARRR) outside of my wheelhouse, I probably know more about the crackers. Thx for taking the time to give this an eyeballing; anything that anyone can share towards making this ID is enormously appreciated. 74758FD2-361E-4E30-B08A-B273FACDAE10.webp- 2 replies

Recently found this fossil while on family vacation in South-Central Minnesota. The site is limestone and also had a lot of Brachiopods. I'm so tired of relatives joking its poo. Hoping someone can help me ID it, the internet was of no help so far.

Found this while hunting for fossils in South-Central Minnesota. Most of the fossils we found were easily identified brachiopods. The shape of this rock was very different from those around it. The curve was so uniform, maybe it's just a rock. I am less than a novice at this so I really don't know. It also appears to have some plant fossils on it and between some layers. Maybe Bryozoan?? I would really appreciate some help in identifying any feature in the picture. Thank you so much! The first photo is the back, second picture is close up of the front, third picture is broken side showing layers. The other sides are smooth with no lines or visible patterns.

Hi all, I was looking over some finds from Sunset Beach when I reexamined this and thought it looked organic. Sticks to my tongue, feels relatively heavy. Is this a fossil bone? Sunset Beach is awesome and I definitely recommend the visit, especially before the shipwreck is fully lost to the sea. Fossils seem really rare there, but the colorful quartz and minerals polished by waves make up for it.

Look I found a thing! Usually when I see a rock embedded in another rock I think fossil... however IF this is a fossil I have no idea what it would be. So at this point im thinking maybe its another Xenolith. What are your thoughts? For anyone interested, this was found near Vancouver Canadia.

Found a couple neat things in some bags of rocks from Home Depot
LeapingLaelaps posted a topic in Fossil ID
Hello! I got a few bags of rocks from Home Depot the other week to use for a project, and when I was washing them off I found a couple neat things. Unfortunately the bags were thrown away and the garbage was picked up yesterday so I can't check the bags for the quarry locations, but the bags were purchased in Wisconsin so I would reckon the rocks are from either Wisconsin, Minnesota or Illinois. Here are both next to a tape measure. I'm pretty sure the left one is some kind of brachiopod but I have no idea what the striped one is or if it's even a fossil: And a few different angles of the striped one: Sorry for the obnoxious shadow in front, I was using my flash because it was too dark in the house and since I was so close to the fossil my camera left a shadow.- 6 replies

This one is just a cool find to me even though I don't have a clue what is is.

These pictures are all the same rock just different angles for texture and visual show, I haven't found anything else in the rest of the item, just the lump ( which my husband has dubbed.. the klingon mini crater) -
Hello! I had a great time at Ramanessin with the crew from DVPS. After everyone left, I went above the spillway and spent a couple hours sifting there. Eventually, I found this tooth! It's smaller and more intact than the mosasaur teeth I've seen online, but there are pretty clear enamel lines and cutting edges that cause me to lean away from IDing it as crocodilian. Would someone ID it for me please? Thank you!

Hi all, I recently found this fossil, and I was hoping I could find some help here identifying it. I found it at Fort Sheridan in Illinois, and wasn’t expecting something that looked like it could be vertebrate. I’m familiar with the fossils with the area, and was surprised to find something like this. Any ID suggestions or suggestions for where to get it ID’d would be appreciated. Someone I talked to said it may be an amphibian/tetrapod fossil (potentially an egg) Description of fossil: small potato shaped rock with skull and thorax of specimen showing. “Feet” protruding from the bottom, and there appears to be a little hand covering the skull on one side. Little hand over face Top view showing little hand over right side of skull Right side view Left side view IMG_7547.MOV
