Hi, In 2013 I bought a keichosaurus fossil from online , and since then I haven't thought much of it, after me and my mum and dad moved to a new apartment the fossil got somewhat forgotten, but today I tried inspecting it. I read some of the treads here but even with this I can't decide if mine is a real or a fake one. From what I have gathered there aren't many outright fakes, but more so real ones that are enhanced. I will be glad to hear your opinion on the pictures (sorry for the poor quality but I had to use my phone). Any response will be very much appreciated. Best regards to everybody.

Hi guys, Last week I was on a vacation in Balchik on the northern coast of the black sea and I visited a small fossil site there. It's a small shoreline littered with mudstone and limestone (I think). Previously there I have been finding bones of sea mammals but this time I found something even more interesting... From what I can tell it's a feather. I just wanted to ask you if you can confirm that it's a feather. I was also wandering if there is anyway that it is a modern birds feather somehow imprinted on the fallen rock. Happy New Year to everyone !!!

Hey all! I was visiting the Jurassic Coast in Devon yesterday and found these 3 fossils (I think) under the rocky cliffs on Lulworth Cove in Devon, England. ..does anyone know what they might be please? I have labelled each one 1, 2 and 3 and number 3 has 3 pictures attached; 3a,3b,3c. Unfortunately this is larger and a more difficult shape of rock to photograph. any help or advice on the ID of any of these would be great. PS. I am an amateur and have no idea if they even are fossils, but it would be exciting if they were. Thanks again for any help!

Hi. Went to Big Brook again yesterday. It’s turning out to be a weekly addiction for me haha. It was in the 30s and sunny to start and then ended cloudy with snow. Fun times. Not sure what everyone else does to keep hands warm while sifting in freezing water. As a runner, I learned a trick to put latex gloves on as you first layer under whatever gloves you normally use. It works amazing. Keeps yours hands super warm. Hope this helps anyone in the forum. Goblin tooth without the root. (Thanks jersey devil) !

I found this fossil in 2010 along the Huron river, near Monroeville, Ohio. The fossil is in shale, which I believe is Ohio Shale formation Devonian age. No idea what it is.

Found these 2 in the gault clay of Folkestone UK and after a while of looking online I'm stumped. they look like ammonite fragments but the preservation isn't great.

Hi. I thought it would be a good day yesterday to go to Big Brook yesterday. It rained for almost two straight days and the temperature jumped up to 55-60 degrees. I thoughts with all the rain and warmer temperature I would be able to get some good finds yesterday. Yesterday the temperature dropped into the 30's and it snowed. The water was the highest I have ever seen it because of the rain. I could not even get to my favorite spot because it was under water. I found a couple decent spots to look around. Here are my finding. A couple things I have no idea what they are and something I think I know what they are. If anyone can help with the ID's that would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Hi guys, Today I was going trough some old boxes of not very well preserved fossils and I stumbled upon this rock which i found before a few years in a limestone deposit on a fossil beach here in Bulgaria. (Echinoids and ammonites are common for this site). When I found it I thought it really resembled a fish spine, so I took it just in case it really was a fish spine (although I doubted it). So can anybody tell me if this is really a fossil of some sort or is it just some natural rock markings. Best regards to everybody!!

I compared my shark tooth to different shark teeth images on google and think that it came from an Angustidens shark? Am I correct? Thanks guys!

A couple of hours in on our fossil hunt at Glen Afric, I spotted another crab fossil! This had now been our 3rd crab of the day. We have not found a similar crab to this one. Any ideas or thoughts on why the colour is so strange?

I found odd shaped bone or shell fragments, i don’t know what it is I just know it’s not a rock it was found at Kelly park in apopka fl

I found this around an abandoned mine in Middle Arizona where I gather up mineral specimens I carve into statues out of honey calcite orange calcite and what is generically called Mexican Onyx in yellows whites and root beer. Matching eggs on line have only been found in Colorado as far as I can see and I dont think we have egg bearing shelves here so I am skeptical of my find. I really wish I can find out if it is real and what species it is. Curious is that there are some paint splashes of tan on part of it so its been around contemporary modern human kind activity. Dimensions are 9" x 7.5" weighs around 22 - 25 lbs Tell me what you think and Thank you in advance!

While Hiking a creek in Upstate New York (Binghamton) I came across this unique find, looks different than anything I have came across before. Looks as if it's composed of several types of minerals along with different types of fossils. Seems to be very dense, with no loose or flaking material. I'm very interested in the main body where it looks as if the material is twisting and curling and gives it a fluid type of look. I am asking the community to please help me identify what this may be composed of and from what era. Thank you. - Dan

Hello all, first post on the forums despite joining awhile ago. Last winter I was fortunate enough to have some serious luck at Purse State Park in 2 consecutive trips while I was on break. Thanks to @Williamb55I was able to finally muster some motivation to seek some help to ID what I believe is a Crocodile tooth and Otodus from the Paleocene Epoch. Of course this could be inaccurate but I would love some insight into my find, comments and replies are appreciated. Best, DF

Hi. Found this at big brook yesterday. Thought it was just a piece of a shark tooth at first. Now that it dried out it’s not smooth or flat like a shark tooth. It’s more circular and rough. Any feedback would be much appreciated. Thanks

Hi. These three where found in St. Pete’s Florida on the beach. Is it possible the first one in top is a small great white? The serrations on both sides is causing me to think that. The middle tooth I think is hammerhead? based on the research I did. The bottom tooth I believe is sandbar based on how thin the root is and the length of the blade? Any feedback would be much appreciated. I’m still trying my best to ID these as accurately as possible. Thank you in advance!
