Hi all, Found this pebble on the beach close to Audresselles (Cap Gris Nez area, Boulonnais) amidst the heavy rain and wind yesterday. Initially, I thought it was just a piece of odd-looking fossilised plant-material, with a faint thought in the back of my mind that may be it could be a fish skull. When I checked it this morning, I was able to confirm the piece is smooth on the outside, and seems to have what appears to be bone fibres on the inside. In other words, I'm convinced now that it actually is bone, though still have no idea what kind...

Hello everyone, I found this in Washington State, Pleistocene, near Mason County. Suggestive piece of jasper or fossil bone? And I apologize for not using metric. I couldn't find my other measurer... Your thoughts would be appreciated. Chris

Digging in my yard here in SE Michigan and found this...fossil? old bone bit? Not sure. Any help would be appreciated

This piece was found in a pleistocene deposit off the New Jersey coast and was labeled as Whale, hard to find any comparisons so I am unsure this is the case though its likely, any help on this will be appreciated. measures 3 x3 x 2 1/2 in

Hello, can anyone identify what mammal these bones may have come from? I know with some it may be very difficult, but any help would be appreciated. All fossils other than the first one that was found from a borehole from the north sea 46 metres down are from Happisburgh, all Norfolk, UK. I will post the next fragments after this post.

Ok, last one I promise. I have found a few pieces of these fossil bone fragments with an odd type of material attached to them. Rather odd texture, sort of bumpy. My first thought was some type of skin or hoof. I am puzzled. Any ideas? Found in Post oak creek, Grayson Co. Texas Lower Austin, upper Eagle Ford Gulf series.

Hi guys have this bone fragment from The Caloosahatchee Formation of South West Florida Late Pliocene/Early Pleistocene. I know it is small and perhaps unidentifiable as it is a fragment but wanted to throw ir out there. Have a few more bones will post shortly.

Hi Guys, I need your help, I was sifting for Shark teeth on Glades County, FL. And came across this specimen buried in sand/under water. I need first and foremost help on its preservation. Also if you guys could identify it would be great. Looks like a shoulder blade of a quadruped but I’m lost on what exactly it is and how old it might be. Thank you, Alex

Hi, I purchased a gift for my wife for our wedding anniversary. Both me and my wife grew up loving Jurassic Park and being fascinated by dinosaurs and I have recently started to get into fossil collecting! We are going to Weymouth in the UK next year as well so hopefully will spend some time on The Jurassic Coast fossil hunting! The picture is a Fragment of a Juvenile Rib Bone. I purchased it offline from a seller who has good reviews etc apparently the specimen is from Mongolia. I have looked into T-rex fossils and the price of a genuine tooth which is crazy money so I decided to purchase this bone fragment. I noticed there's a resin substance on the Fossil like a varnish and it feels very light but just wondering if that is just to protect it. thanks a lot W

I have recently purchase two large pieces of Jurassic aged bone from the Morrison Formation near the Dinosaur National Monument in Northwest Colorado. They seemed to be shaped in a way that it maybe possible to give them a general ID, I don't know if it can of course go as far as ID the specific dinosaur of course but if anyone with experience may know what kind of bones they are, any help would be appreciated as I would like to label them for the collection. As it stands the first larger one I believe to be likely sauropod bone or some other large herbivore while the second one I think may be theropod of some sort. Also if it's possible would anyone be able to tell what kind of bone they maybe like for example limb, leg, metatarsal, etc. Any feedback will be greatly appreciated! The larger bone measures nearly 9 1/2 inches long The smaller one measures approximately 6 1/2 inches long

My most recent and most exciting acquisition, a giant partial vert from a tyrannosaurus rex from the hell creek formation of Montana. Nearly went into cardiac arrest that I was able obtain such a large specimen from t rex, so I thought I would share. It really fills up the dinosaur collection and feels like it weighs a ton, I think the dimensions are somewhere around 6.5 inchs or so long and 10.5 inchs tall if I remember, would've been alot taller if the process was still intact and I like how the giant pores are visible cause of the damage. Super massive piece, I was worried about it collapsing my shelve but it fits fine so far.

Hoping someone knows what bone(s) this is (are). I'm always amazed at what you people know! The piece is about 5" long and heavy. Looks to be two, maybe three pieces fused together, in a crude triangular shape (three faces). One face shows a length long line and from the end it is clear there are two separate pieces fused side by side. Another face is smooth with a shallow groove at the end (visible in the end picture). The last face shows fibrous bone turning into chipped cancellous bone on the end; the other piece or two appears to be cancellous bone.

I found this bone at the mouth of the Brazos river. It has a couple of nice teeth impact marks. Does anyone know what the bone type is? Thanks.....

This piece looks to be layered. The outer sides have interesting texture, almost looks like soil between the layers. It was found in the same area near Houston Texas. Thanks again for your help.

I need some help from the collective brain on this one. It's a real Sherlock Holmes mystery since the only information I have is the collecting locality... Texas! They look rather mammalish and so would be Pleistocene. Giant Sloth possibly? I know there's someone here who can enlighten me.

Acquired this fossil a couple years ago and beings the collector is deceased I have no background on what it is or where it came from. It has a nice arching sweep to it and is rather thin. It has been broken recently, before I acquired it, and shows signs of carbonization inside as well as outside.what do you think it belongs to?
