Finally got a good picture of another find from our Mineral Wells Fossil Park outing. Looked at other pictures of Petalodus shark teeth, and it has similar features. It looks like a tooth to me....but I don't know.

Hello everybody! This summer I had the pleasure to collect fossils in a few famous Ohio localites. I want to start with the first that I visited, the Trammel Fossil Park in Sharonville (Butler and Hamilton counties). The park is a 10 acres fossil-rich hillside and woodland area, that was donated to the city by a local developer. Ordovician rokcs crop out and they are very productive! Collecting is free for everybody, tools can be used, but you are not supposed to remove large boulders of rock. The space in front is equipped with tables, benches and boards that explain the geology and faun

Anyone here familiar with Trammel Fossil Park? I am in Dayton and I am going to be hitting a few places tomorrow. I want to go to Trammel first thing in the AM, but I can't find a ton of information on it online. My main question is what type of collecting is allowed? I have all my gear with me, 8lb. sledge, 5' & 3' prybars, chisels, etc. I don't have any power tools. Am I allowed to go to town there, or is that frowned upon? Thanks in advance for any info! -J

Hello Everyone. I am reaching out to the forum in hopes that someone here can give me some information about the Edelman fossil Park in New Jersey. Have any members ever been there? Is it worth visiting? How does one make arrangements for a visit there. I have visited the website but when I try to click on links it doesn't work for me. Any help would be highly appreciated. @frankh8147 @Trevor @The Jersey Devil @njfossilhunter @Carl

Short 3 hr NSR hunt between the 35 ft rise and the current 8 ft rise. I had very little area to hunt but still had a great day. The Tylosaur jaw section made my day. My new 4x4 saved me once again when I slid down the ditch while parking.

The Penn Dixie site has now reopened for members (the regular season has ended and the gates are closed, but members can still sign the log online and come in to dig!) The site was directly in the smoke plume from the large fire last week, but air quality has returned to safe levels and the ash has been removed from the site. As such, members are welcome to once again come hunt while the weather is still beautiful! Happy digging!
