  3. Hey Guys! I'm brand new here and just seeking some basic information about this awesome rock I found while Kayaking in the Flint River with my son in Northern Alabama/Southern Tennessee. I would like to know anything you can tell me about it. Is there any value to it? Is it special? Unique? We have all found fossils with these markings as kids but I've never seen one so large with so many markings. Any info or help is appreciated.

    Coral?

Hello, I found this one near a highway crossover to a railroad track outside of Hatch New Mexico. It's dimensions are are as follows 10x7x8 inches roughly. It is very heavy so maybe suggests Bareite? It also has what appears to be deliberate lines carved around it. Could be geologic but have a close look at the darker material and you will hopefully see this. Any ideas are appreciated.
  5. Hello everyone, first time here... Last week on Burgos, Spain, I found my first fossil. It seems an Echinoidea buy it is very damaged. I have read that there is a lot of types of Echinoidea, can anyone let me know which class specifically is this one? and how old is it? Does it have something inside? It seems to have kind of bright or transparent parts around the fossil (red circle). Sorry for my unknowledge. Thanks in advance for your time!
  6. Does anyone know what it may be or if it’s even a fossil? It looks very symmetrical.

    Unknown Fossil Print

So I live in the mountains of Cibola County New Mexico. I regularly find early human pottery and cutting tools but I found this while out gathering rocks to build a rock wall. It appears to be a footprint. Has anyone seen anything like this? The length of the print is about 4”.

    Coprolite, Ferrunginous Concretion?

Hi all, last week I found an interesting rock formation that appears to be cropolite. At least based on a few images I was able to compare it against online. The formation was found on an island beach off the west coast of Michigan. Thank you for any help identifying it!

    Shark tooth

Hi All Any idea what kind of shark this tooth belongs to? Not sure where it was found. Was in a collection of fossils from different beaches. Might of been bracklesham bay.
  17. Hello everybody, How are you today? My husband and i are visiting your beautiful country this August. We are from Amsterdam, the Netherlands. We will be staying in Santa Barbara CA and were wondering what the best accessible fossil site is for a wheelchair user. My husband is paraplegic and in a wheelchair. He can move himself around and the wheelchair isn't to large in size. For a beach site we might be able to contact Nature Track. Do you by any chance have any recommendations for us? Sincerely, Bob and Jennifer

  19. Hello everyone, I have recently acquired this Barasaurus fossil from Madagascar and I was wondering if it really is 100% natural as the seller has stated many times to me. I have read a couple of threads in this forum regarding Barasaurus fakes but still have many doubts. If possible, I would greatly appreciate any input from this forum’s experts regarding this piece. Do you think it's real? Please find attached some photos and thanks a lot for your help:
  20. Opinions on these images? Mosasaur skull seems too good to be true for a size this big from what I’m seeing but I don’t know how to judge. It looks relatively real to me but wanted you guys to weigh in. It’s like 3 feet long.

  22. Hi everyone, I’m new to this but am curious as to whether these are legit or not. I’d imagine they’d be way more expensive but I wasn’t sure if this website is legit or not, and I really do not want to get scammed if I eventually buy something like this. Does this forum have a list of credible websites/vendors?
